sorry for reminding you, i've just been binging your masterlists lately and I noticed that Daniela's part for the GP reader leash & collar ask was missing. no worries if you don't plan on writing it, have a nice day! 😁

Ooo, very fun!👀 ngl I tend to forget about older posts very fast, so thank you for the reminder (and the link!!!)🙇‍♀️
Let’s get into it!
Masterlists
You’re groaning silently to yourself, your girlfriend’s ass on full display for you. You’re meant to be worked, and Daniela knows this. Maybe, she is so pouty because you managed to refuse her puppy eyed-look before, when asked to simply “not do your job”. Perhaps, your little Daniela only wants your attention as usual.
She’s not being very subtle, either.
Being tasked to clean up the library and hallway leading up to it, you have already made several encounters with her, and you haven’t even managed to get started on the hallway leading to her room, yet!
You’re organising the bookshelf, a somewhat bearable task turning nearly impossible thanks to Daniela’s input.
Every few seconds she reaches for a book you just put in, only to fly over a few pages and leave it out on one of the tables or a completely different spot in the shelf.
This makes the fourth time she’s done it, and you’ve had enough. A quick look around assures you that you’re in luck, for no other maid is around.
Daniela gasps when you grip her upper arm tightly. “Release me, servant!”, she demands, but you see the playful smile underneath her made up face of disgust.
Her defiance breaks down fast, when you snatch and grab the lower half of her face tightly and force her up against the bookshelf.
The mere position and being this close to your lover makes your skin crawl and dick harden under your tight uniform.
“What do you think you’re doing, Daniela?”, you speak through somewhat gritted teeth. Your little brat is driving you insane today, and gets off to it without a doubt, too.
She blinks up at you coyly, almost innocently. “What do you mean, lover of mine?”, she coos, and you feel her cheeks heat up under your palm at her own words. You smile a little. Sweet, little, naive Daniela stuck in her sweet, little world of romance and love, games and teasing. You intend to break the little brat out of her world tonight, or at the very least remind her that there are rules to this candy-sweet world of hers.
Daniela whines when you squeeze her face, her lips and cheeks squished by your hand. She looks utterly adorable, you think. “Be a good girl and behave. This will take hours with your little input”, you command.
She’s whining again, and you gasp when you feel her hand cup the bulge between your legs. Coy as she plays, Daniela has always been a bold one.
“But play with me”, she coos. “I’m way more fun!”, she whines. “Mother won’t know”, she adds, her usual puppy eyed look full on display for you. It makes your cock twitch.
You want nothing more than to pull her aside, to fuck and paint her face white, to take her body for yourself again and make her feel good, to pump her full until the little brat can’t walk. Perhaps this would keep her from interrupting your work, at last.
Alas, she has too much endurance and attitude to allow just a quick fuck. You know, you will not be able to deny yourself the sweet treat that is Daniela Dimitrescu when you’ve had a taste.
As such, you merely turn her around and slap her ass, an action rewarding you with a breathless yelp and a moan that makes you shudder and become painfully hard.
“Hear me”, you whisper, tucking the cute, auburn strands of hair behind her ear. The woman pressed between you and the shelf is shivering, her ass subtly grinding against your front. You notice, of course. “Do not interrupt my work again. I am not above tying you down when all can see you, Daniela.”, you whisper. She’s blushing again, a gasp pulled from her again. You wouldn’t! You couldn’t! Ah, but you would, and you could, and you will, should she not behave.
You dare grind your hips forward just a little bit, a quiet groan ripped from you as her soft, thick cheeks immediately have your dick twitch in your tight boxers and uniform. She whines helplessly. The little siren almost has you, yet you manage to still pull back again, her hood in your hand forcing her head back.
Wide, hopeful golden eyes meet yours. You swallow down the urge to take her right then and there. “Your mother demands my work done. Perfectly so, even. You know this, Daniela. I have allowed you to distract me too often, my little vixen. Now, sit still and behave for me. Read a book, or play with your sisters”, you suggest.
She groans. She doesn’t feel like talking to Bela or annoying and playing with Cassandra now! She wants to be with you! Still, even little, delusional Daniela knows when she won’t get what she want from you, and only turns to press a sweet, happy kiss to your lips before she swarms away.
“Don’t be too long!”, she whines, pleads, or demands. You aren’t too sure, but shake your head. This is not the time to get distracted. You really ought to finish with the damn library…
You sigh as you exit the library, hours later, your eyes heavy, your arms aching, your goal of finishing your work barely closer than hours ago.
You’re exhausted, and although Daniela has somewhat left you alone to work, showing up only every half an hour or so, you know her patience is running thin. That is, if it hasn’t entirely run out yet.
Your question seems to answer itself, when you keep on cleaning until you’re at the bit of the hallway right in front of the door leading to your girlfriend’s room.
Coming from the inside, you hear loud moans and whimpers.
Your cock immediately strains against your underwear again. Such sweet, filthy sounds coming from her. Moans and groans, little gasps and “Ah”’s. You grit your teeth. You know, she’s doing this because of you, to get your attention.
You turn back to your work, gripping the sponge tightly as you bring it down on the floor.
“A-Ahh-Ah, yes, fuck me”
Your dick twitches. In matters of seconds you’re on your feet, pushing, no, slamming open the door.
She jumps, the beautiful creature is laid out in the bed, in nothing but her red bra and panties, her own hand hidden underneath them.
She blushes as she looks at you, but her eyes pull you in seductively. Then, anger takes you over. What if someone else had heard her? You know she was trying to go for that, too.
You snap your fingers at your brat and immediately a gasp slips past her lips and she swarms to you, her head lowered as she falls to her knees in front of you.
A brat indeed, but a trained one. You smirk at her. It seems, your little Daniela paid attention during her training.
You lift her chin, her golden eyes looking up at you. She seems almost innocent. Almost.
But still, you see the attitude and brattiness bubbling beneath the surface, the very behavior that has made her act out so very often today. White, hot anger rises in you. You snap your fingers again.
“The leash. Now, Daniela”
Your voice leaves no room for arguments and she knows it perfectly well.
As fast as she can, she scrambles and swarms for the deep red leash and collar hidden away in her closet.
Again, she kneels, this time holding the leash by her teeth like the perfectly trained submissive you know your little darling can be.
She shivers when you take off her necklace, instead replace it with the leathery choker.
You connect the leash and give it an experimental tug. Laughter comes from you as the poor thing is yanked forwards, her face smudged right between your legs, against the bulge she was so very eager to get her hands on before.
You keep here there for a moment, smirking down at your little brat.
It seems, now, now that you’re here, now that you’re ready to put her in her place, your little brat feels like behaving.
You smile down at her sadistically. No, her momentarily good behavior will not make up for her previous actions.
You step into the room fully, the leash wrapped around your fist forcing her along. She is made to stick close to you, her body flush against yours when you stop at her dresser. You know, this is where most of her naughtier toys are stored.
She’s whining and whimpering, breathing softly but audibly at your feet as you search through it. You notice, she is attempting to stay quiet, as though hoping it will have you forget her naughtiness only hours prior.
Daniela’s cheeks turn a visible pink shade when you reach in and grab the first item you make contact with; a silver, smooth plug with a green crystal towards the end.
“Open”
Again, she obeys in an instant, wrapping her lips around the toy as she looks up at you. She looks so tamed, so sweet and shy. You know though, your little darling is just as much of a brat as she can be a good girl.
You let go of the toy and hum contentedly as she keeps sucking it, her hips rolling slightly, the end of the leash and its chain ringing quietly as you drop both to the floor. The cool metal against her skin has her jump momentarily, then press into it.
She watches with wide eyes as you pick up the bottle of lube next to her bed, surely used for whatever she would have used on herself next. All to catch your attention in the hallway, no doubt.
You tsk quietly at her, eying the open door and the abandoned supplies at the hallway. You know, you still need to get some work done today, if you don’t want to be scolded by the head-maiden again.
“You’re not going to interrupt my work again today, Daniela”, you speak, your voice controlled. You allow confidence and slight irritation to slip through. Just enough to have the leashed woman squirm a little.
“It wasn’t-! Ngnm…”
She quietens as you take the plug from her and pat her head, almost as if chiding her. Daniela sits quietly, unusually shy as you cover the wet end with lube. Right in front of her. She squirms in anticipation.
“Bend”, you command. She squirms a little, then, a naughty smile turns up at her lips. You grit your teeth. Of course, your darling girl must still brat when she knows you ought to return to work.
“Hey!”, she shrieks when you grab the end of the chained leash instead. A single yank your way is all it takes to pull the pretty brat over your knee, her red panties doing a poor job of covering her thick, bubbly ass cheeks.
You slide your finger underneath the red hem of them, then, antagonizing slow, you pull them off her creamy, pale skin. She squirms and whimpers, her warm cheek a visible shade of pink.
“Spread your cheeks, brat. This will go far easier if you submit”
Daniela moans and whines at your words, but obeys nonetheless. Smooth, soft, red painted fingers dig into her soft ass cheeks and pull them apart for you, exposing the pink hole hidden between.
You eye the plug; she’s had bigger, and smaller, before. But it will do for now.
“H-A-Ah!”, she gasps when the cool silverish tip pushes inside. It’s cool, compared to her warm, almost hot, insides. You feel the heat radiating from this part of her body, a sharp contrast to her cool skin.
Daniela groans and whines as the toy is pushed inside, until shivers take over her backside and a low moan slips past perfectly shaped, unpainted lips when you push the toy in wholly.
You give its end a light push with your index finger, a wet squirting sound coming from it as it’s pushed all the way inside.
She’s shivering and moaning, whispering little phrases you don’t fully understand. You doubt she does, even.
Daniela gasps when the panties are pulled up again and she’s made to stand, the chain of her leash and its leathery end dropping to the floor once again as you release it.
She stays still, perfectly obedient in this moment, save for her squirms.
Her hips roll, her ass pushing back and forth in an attempt to take pleasure for herself from the plug. She is granted little to nothing, certainly not enough to get off.
As you dig through her drawer again, you feel her eyes on you.
Daniela drools from more than just her mouth as she watches you, her mind full of dirty fantasies of being taken by you. The thought of letting you finish your work in peace crosses her mind, so long as she at least gets to suck you off a few times. You did seem so painfully tense today…Daniela giggles. She just wants to play, really!
She gasps, horrified, when she finds what you picked, then quickly follows this up by a playful, though slightly sad pout. Really? The tape again? But she’s been so good about running her mouth, as you like to say.
Upon attempting to turn her head, Daniela finds its lower half grabbed by you. You shush her, sensing the rising amount of bratty arguments.
She wants to run her mouth.
She wants to use it.
She could use it on you, too.
Instead, auburn hair is brushed from her face and the harsh, grey duct tape is placed over her lips. Another layer follows, and another. The woman tries to speak and whine, even to push the tape off with her tongue, but only muffled words and whimpers reach your ears.
She whimpers when her wrists are taped next. Had she not been such a brat, your touch would have been gentler, sweeter, a little slower. Alas, Daniela can only smile and blush under the tape as you grab her arms and push them together behind her back, then drag the strong tape around her wrists.
At last, your little brat is at your mercy. Or close enough, you figure.
Golden eyes widen when you move the vibrator wand from her drawer and pull up her panties fully before slipping it inside.
Within moments of the toy being turned on your sweet brat is moaning muffled phrases and groans of pleasure already.
“Mhmmm! Mhm! Mmmm!”, she protests as she’s pulled along, out her room and to the hallway. You know, this late at night no one dares to be out of their room. This royal is all yours to enjoy.
Daniela whines as she is chained to the window, the leash wrapped tightly around the handle. She knows not to tug, should she not want to risk the lethal cold-burn caused by the window opening. It’s completely safe, so long as she obeys and stays still.
You pick up your bucket and sponge again, lowering yourself to the ground yet again. Your fingers grip the sponge harder than necessary.
Her little, muffled moans and whimpers really do a number on you. Your uniform feels too hot and tight. You’re painfully hard, so much so you must struggle with yourself to resist the ever growing seductive option of simply taking Daniela.
The longer you work the more tempting this seems.
Perhaps, even just to pull her to her knees, pull off the tape and have her suck you off until the uncomfortable ache goes away.
In time, even this doesn’t seem enough. You scrub fast, as though able to scrub the want, the need, to bury yourself deep inside your whimpering little brat.
And Daniela hardly seems any better. She’s moaning and whimpering behind the tape.
You’re certain, she’s cum more than twice already, and even without looking up, you can tell her clit is awfully sensitive.
It only makes you want to play with it some more, to suck the little bud until the little brat cries out her pleasure for you.
She’s squirming and whimpering, her eyes pressed shut in a desperate attempt to keep still.
After a short while, you can’t keep up your calm facade anymore. You throw the sponge back on the ground carelessly, and for a moment, you allow yourself to look at your work and check your progress.
Half the hallway is done, and the library. A good enough result for you, you decide.
Daniela watches you with wide, hopeful eyes as you rise from the floor, her golden eyes teary. You coo at her, your hand raising to her cheek. She’s shivering and morning at your touch, even one as innocent as this.
“Mmmhmmm”
She watches eagerly as you begin unbuckling your belt, her hips raising and rolling already, her hands lightly tugging at the tape.
The vibrator is pulled from her quickly, and she shrieks beneath the tape when you pull down the red panties in one go.
You pull off the rest of your uniform and groan when, at last, you get to grip your pulsing cock and slap it against her cool thigh.
“Will you behave, if I take you now?”, you ask, demand. She nods quickly. Yes, she’s so desperate, so needy. She wants you, needs you, craves you.
Daniela whimpers as you grip the leash, yet stills when the window stays closed. Still enough room.
A gasp is ripped from her when the tape is torn off. Your desperation leaves you little room to be gentle with her now. Her own has her crave your roughness.
She’s pushed up against the window harshly, the cold surface unusual against her sensitive skin.
Your lips brush against her ear as she whimpers, then, with a groan, you finally allow yourself to line up your tip with her sopping wet pussy. Her arms twitch momentarily, revealing the urge, her wish, to grab onto you. Not this time, you figure. This time, your little brat will have to keep those claw-like nails to herself.
“Quiet, princess. You don’t want to wake the staff with your screams now, do you?”, you coo. She shivers. “Yes, ma’am”, she breathes out softly, her disobediently at last teased and punished out of her.
You groan lowly when you push your hips forwards, her wet pussy wrapping around you like a warm, soft blanket. She squeezes you immediately and you have to resist the urge to bottom out in her immediately.
With your hands sliding across your body, you find your grip at her hips. The leash is grabbed tightly again, and a single, loud shriek is pulled from her when you begin thrusting your strong hips.
With her hands bound, she can only hope to muffle her moans and soft praises by biting her lip, yet her head is soon thrown back.
You moan lowly, careful not to wake anyone. She feels heavenly, and the position lets you take her deep and hard.
Bit by bit, you turn the previous brat back into your good girl, whimpering and moaning, drooling slightly at the lips and praising each and every move of yours.
“You feel so soft”
“Your pussy feels amazing, my love”
“Give me more of that beautiful voice”
Each praise only makes her grip you tighter, more and more so. She’s close fast. You’re greedy, though, so when Daniela cums already, you make no move to slow down.
You groan loudly. Her arched back has you thrust and rub up against her walls and allow you to feel the plug at their other side.
“A-Ha-Aah!”, she moans, slurs, gasps, her eyes closed, her lips parted and slick with drool. Her whole body is being pulled back and forth with each thrust of yours, her pale ass cheeks pink with your front slamming against them each time.
You know, she can take more.
Your hand slides from her hip and between her legs, easily finding the warmth radiating from her.
“A-Aah! Yes! My love! Ye-eess!”
With her lips brushing lightly against the cool glass, heavy panting soon causes the window to fog. She’s pushed up against it with every thrust, her palms and the sides of her hands bloodied as she moans and squirms, sharp nails dragging against you and her own skin.
“Goo-ood girl..!”, you praise. You squeeze your eyes shut, your hips picking up the pace as you at last bottom out in her.
She’s moaning at every second of this, her auburn hair covering first her face, then yours when you lean forwards.
You shiver as you cum, thick ropes of it shot deep into her. She moans and whimpers softly at the feeling, her insides warm and her scent covered and engulfed entirely in yours.
“Now, come on”, you groan after a few moments. She can barely follow when you pull away and yank her leash, leading your good girl back into the room at last. You decide, work is done for the time being. Now you’re in mood for sweet rewards and sugary dessert.

You leave your apartment, the window boarded up with your landlords half-assed at replacement. You almost prefer the wood; more resilient and you can’t see through it. Still, the place feels eerie. Your little fortress has been breached and the mystery of the attacker has you addled.
You walk into work as you always do. Head down, bag hooked over one shoulder, fingers twiddling as you go through your task list in your mind. You put your things in the coatroom and go to the kitchen.
You grab the broom and mop, eager to go over anything you didn't get to before. Behind the bar, upstairs and downstairs and the private rooms that were always in use even after closing. You methodically work your way from the bottom floor up.
As you return the bucket and pan, Thor is behind the bar. You give a small hi as he booms his usual hello. You tuck away the broom and mop and wipe your hands on your apron, grabbing a cloth to tuck into it from the tidy stack leftover from the day before. You have a whole load of napkins to deliver to the servers' station.
Thor enters as you begin sorting through the cutlery into the slotted tray. You peek up at him briefly, shying back to your task.
"How are you? Good night?"
"Mhmm," you hum, "you?"
"Good," he answers, letting silence dangle as he gives a thoughtful hum, "you made it home okay?"
"Safe and sound," you reply as you examine a spoon and put it by the sink to be rewashed.
"And a nice sleep?"
You pause as his line of questioning irks you. He's nice enough but sometimes his conversation feels intrusive. You told him already, you're fine.
"Yep," you shrug, "how about your night?"
"Ah, I did some reading, and a bit of drinking," he winks as you glance at him once more, "they've still not rehired. Just me again."
"That's too bad."
"Lonesome," he chuckles lightly, "but I can always count on you, can't I, fawn?"
You nod, elusive at giving an answer. You don't like being behind the bar and to be fair, it's frustrating doing extra work without the pay to match.
"Have I done something? Said something?" He prods as he comes closer, standing at the other side of the counter.
"No."
"Hmm," he hums as his large hands rest on the silver edge, "you certain?"
You nod again. You hate to even think it, it feels mean, but you just want to be left alone. You miss those days when no one noticed you.
"Well… my hand feels much better," he waves his bandaged fingers.
"That's good," your lips twitch with a momentary smile, "I should take this to the hub."
"Nah, I got it," he volunteers as he grabs the tray of silverware, "little thing like you carrying all this around, that's no good."
"I do it all the time–"
"Yes, well, perhaps it is time you let others help, fawn," he insists, keeping the tray out of your reach, "you might actually enjoy it."
He spins and struts out before you can respond. You don't even know how you would. It confounds you how he can be so friendly yet so pushy. It puts you off yet makes you feel so ungrateful. You can't assume the worst of him because he reminds you of someone else.
🍸
You finish your shift without much disturbance. A few times you bring out clean glasses to the bar and incap a few bottles but nothing exhaustive. Sonny keeps you entertained as he tells you about his time in the corps. He also makes sure Thor can't steal you away again as he keeps you busy with the pans.
The chef leaves first. He works short shifts, leaving the kitchen tidy as he puts on his leather vest and gives a wave. You enter the bar as last call sounds and gather up any empties you can find, you'll do another sweep once it's empty.
You wait out the last of the clubgoers and return to the dance floor, oddly quiet and vacant. The servers count their tips at the station and you hear the subtle clink of glasses from behind the bar. You have your earbuds in still, the low buzz of your favourite playlist easing the tension.
You don't notice when the servers leave, silence is only ever comforting so you rarely make note of it. As you bend to grab a crushed can from beneath a table, a foot appears around the other side. You stand and face Thor as he smiles at you.
"Need help?" He offers.
"All good," you assure him as you dump the can in the plastic bag.
He stares and you back away, looking around for more garbage.
"What're you listening to?" He frightens you again as the blur of his finger fills your peripheral as he points to your ear.
"Oh nothing," you say, "just music."
"What kind of music?"
You blanch. It feels too rude to ignore him or ask him to leave you be. You're working but there's not much left to do. You stand up and face him. Again, you're reminded of his height.
"Florence and the Machine."
"Ah, I love her, er, them?" He questions, "it is a band, yes?"
"I think," you push your lip out indecisively.
"Do you listen to music often?"
"I guess," you squint. His questions are stiff and awkward. Almost like an interrogation.
"You have a record player," he says and you wince, thinking of the green suitcase player in the corner of your apartment, "asking. Sorry, that came out weird."
You clutch the bag and utter an answer, "yeah…" you look around, "I should finish…"
"Of course," he gulps audibly, "let me know if you need me to walk you home… I heard about another girl, eh? At the club down the block, you know the one, right?"
You don't know. You shake your head, "I had no idea, thanks."
"Wanna make sure you're safe," he backs away slowly, "so I'll wait by the door?"
You hesitate and grab a napkin, shoving it in the bag.
"You should just go home, I hate to keep you late."
"I don't mind–"
"I do," you interrupt without meaning to. You sniff and look at him, "really, I'll be okay."
He stares at you, the humour draining from his face as his cheek tics. He looks very unlike himself. It takes your breath away.
Just as quickly as he darkened, he brightens up again and turns his palms out, "stay safe."
He turns and strides away. You watch his back and tension corded in his forearms as he closes and opens his fists. The tenor of his last words hang in the air, more ominous than hopeful.
Maybe it's all in your head. It's the broken window and the unattached footsteps and the memories. You're fucked up and that's why you're better off alone.

Tumblr media
Sliding out from beneath the Ford I had been stuck under for half an hour, I sat up and drug my palm over my forehead without a doubt smudging some grease where I was hoping to wipe away sweat. It was two o’clock in the afternoon and already boiling hot. It was just me, myself and I in the garage today, as per usual, so I opened every tiny window and left the workshop door open, along with the door to our office.
Blink-182 was blasting from the radio, the volume nearly maxed out in an attempt to drown out any lingering thoughts that hung around my subconscious. These were the days I longed for. Days alone were peaceful, and quiet, aside from the music, and I could keep to myself, get my shit done, and not fuck anything, or anyone, up.
I knew cars better than people, I could fix them faster, too. Though, most times I drug my work out over a couple of days only because I enjoyed it that much.
It was almost like my brain could shut off when I was focused on work. I could do it with my eyes closed. And come to think of it, I actually have, on a dare, and I still repaired everything perfectly.
The two other guys that work in the garage with me, one of them the owner, both didn’t think I could do it. A couple of months ago when a BMW was sent our way with a screwed up starter motor, completely dead, the two of them grumbled over the task while I boasted about being able to replace it with my eyes shut. Neither believed me, so naturally beers were cracked open that night, we spent some extra hours in the garage, and I replaced the sucker with a bandana tied over my eyes with little help.
Talking about myself always made me uneasy, but if someone were to ask me what secret talents I had, I’d for sure brag about that. One of the sparse moments where I actually felt proud of myself.
Slapping a hand to the concrete beneath me I hoist myself to my feet and round the vehicle to get inside of it, being careful to not put my dusty boots on the clean carpet of the sedan. It was a silver Ford Taurus that belonged to a woman in her forties with two boys in intermediate school, so I wasn’t too worried if I left it a little dirty. The backseat gave off obvious signs that two boys around the age of ten occupied that space.
Shoving the key that sat in the cupholder into the ignition, I twisted it, and smiled as the car started. The woman, who’s name was Sharon, or Sherry, just dropped it off this morning with her kids and her husband who drove the three of them away in a pick up truck. Both adults had dropped complaints of other places taking a week to fix their vehicles problem, making them dish out hundreds of dollars for a small problem I took care of in a few hours. They were pleasantly surprised when I told them that it would be done today, and it would cost not even half of what they’ve had to pay before.
Sharon-Sherry almost gave me a hug, I thought the woman was going to fall to her knees. She placed a hand on my shoulder, thanking me a crap ton, babbling on and on about her boys and how they’re soccer players, and she needs the car to get them to practices and games, and her husband’s a cop and works weird hours… I learned a bit too much about her.
But, the woman cupped my cheek before she walked away to get into her husband's truck and she gave me a genuine smile. A smile that wrapped my heart in comfort. It was a mom's smile.
The comfort broke in half when she called after her boys, beckoning them to get into the truck.
“Shaun! Felix! Let’s go, your coaches are waiting!” she had waved at the boys that were kicking around the gravel rocks in front of the office door.
With a gulp I had taken a quick glance around the lot before I questioned her. “Felix?”
“My youngest,” she turned to me with a proud smile. “He and Shaun are a year apart. You never hear that name around here, do ya? Felix.”
At that moment I had wondered if she’d noticed my pale skin go even ghostlier. I had shaken my head and cleared my throat.
“No,” I answered. “It’s… one of a kind.”
Sharon-Sherry agreed with me, then continued on to her children, ushering them into their fathers running truck, making sure they were buckled before she jumped up into the passenger seat.
The happy family drove away, leaving me with their Ford and a pin in my heart.
A quiet day alone, lost in my work without haunting thoughts was what I wanted, and I almost had it.
Sitting back in Sharon-Sherry’s seat with my boots still hanging out of the door, I rest my head against the cushion and take a deep breath. I may have had the radio blasting, I may have been elbow deep in bolts and grease, I may have been on auto-pilot for three hours, but I couldn’t get those big brown eyes outta my head.
Even prior to his name being spoken he infected my mind.
Last night should’ve been a blur. It should’ve been a drunken blur, a second thought this morning when I rolled out of bed and got myself ready for work while Jade slept soundly between the sheets. Instead, it was the very first thing I thought of. Felix.
If he wasn’t such a nice person it would’ve pissed me off more than it kind of already did. I couldn’t be mad at him. He didn’t do anything wrong. It was my own screwed up brain that forced this shit upon me, every damn time. Incredibly annoying.
“Don’t do that,” I grumbled to myself, rubbing the bridge of my nose with my middle finger, closing my eyes tight. “I’m not annoying.” I repeat aloud what Felix had said to me last night.
On top of that, he also told me to talk to Jade. To talk things out with her, actually talk to her. And I didn’t do that. Not yet at least, last night she couldn’t even let me get a word in, but it’s not like I tried.
Regaining consciousness on the kitchen floor yesterday was a wake up call, and the following evening at Haven just added more fuel to the fire. Talking things out with Felix, admitting what I’ve done to someone other than Jade was a bitch slap to the face. Saying it aloud to someone on the outside of the situation really did make me sound clinically insane, and it was embarrassing. On top of the things I was feeling for Felix, the shame from fully realizing what I’ve done and why I’ve done it was suffocating.
I had to break up with Jade. If she wasn’t going to do it first, I had to be the one to break it off. Especially now that I think I’m harboring actual interested feelings for Felix.
He didn’t want to be one of the others, and I wasn’t about to make him one- as scary as it felt to think about getting involved with somebody else.
Jade still lingers after everything. Who’s to say Felix would stick around if something happened? He even said it himself last night that he would leave someone if they did to him what I’d already done to Jade.
Regardless, he stuck by my side yesterday. He seemed to care about me even after I let the shit spill. I should really just try to be his friend. I need to try to be his friend, before anything. He wasn’t someone I wanted to hurt.
Then again, Jade was once someone I never wanted to hurt.
“Jinnie?” Jade’s voice called into the garage from the driveway. Popping my eyes open I didn’t even realize I had closed, I sat forward and spotted her through the streaky windshield. I made a mental note to clean Sharon-Sherry’s windows for her before she came back to get her car.
Jade circled the Ford and stood beside the open door. “What’re you doing?” She was dressed for work, she was on the night shift this evening at the restaurant. Her hair was pulled out of her face and her colorful name tag sat to the left of her heart.
“Just… making sure the car started.”
“Your eyes were closed, I thought you fell asleep,” she said, her eyes taking me in up and down, and again. Shaking my head slowly, I start to smile.
“Not exactly,” I said. Turning the car off I dropped the keys into the cupholder and got out of Sharon-Sherry’s seat, taking the top of the door out of Jades hand and into my own so I could close it.
“Okay, good,” Jade nodded, taking a step backward so I could stand on my feet. “You shouldn’t be in here with the cars running, you know that.” Giving her a curious look I brought myself back around the front of the car to lift the hood. Jade followed right behind me.
“I know that,” I sighed, pulling on a few car parts, making sure everything was good to go. This family had to be called as soon as possible. “You know I know that, but I’ve gotta get it out of here somehow.” Leaning against the car with my elbows, I turned to look at her. She was wearing her nervous eyebrows, though she was trying to hide them. She’s made this face every single time I started to bring up a… girl.
“Yeah,” her voice was soft. “I know you know… I just… got worried about you.” Her eyes fell to the motor of the car, glancing around at all the different parts.
“Are you okay?” I asked after a bout of silence between us. The radio was still blaring nonsense. Jade met my gaze and took a quick breath.
“Yeah, yeah, no, I’m fine,” she shook her head, “I just… Are you okay?”
I stood up straight, resting a hand to the small of my back.
“I’m fine.”
Jade’s eyes begged me to say more, but I didn’t know if I could. Here I was hoping I’d have a little more time at work before I had to go home and try to talk things out with her, but she showed up unannounced. She’s never done this, even back when things were good. Work was separate for us, our own thing.
She waited a couple more seconds for me to say more, but realizing that I wasn’t going to, she rolled her eyes the slightest and dug into the purse she had over her shoulder.
“Here,” she said, handing me a bottle of water that was still kind of cold. I assumed this was her excuse to mask why she had actually come here.
Taking it carefully I gave her a small smile. “Thanks,” I said, and almost inquired why she was being nice to me, or acting funny.
Then she said the words that made my heart stop.
“Felix called.”
Maintaining my composure I cracked the water open and took a long sip, the coolness relieving the heat I’d been baking under. Swooshing the liquid around my mouth for a bit, I swallowed and nodded, slowly. Then I met her gaze.
“What’d he want?” I asked in the most monotonous tone I could’ve ever conjured up. Jade folded her arms over her chest and sighed.
“He… Jinnie, he wanted to know if you were okay,” she said, her eyebrows knotting together. Whispering, she took a step closer to me, “He told me what happened.”
The anxiety I had been suppressing since I saw her face began to bubble up. That was a vague ass sentence.
He told me what happened.
Felix probably told her that I came onto him in the parking lot of Haven. Stupidly drunk, I forced myself upon him and tried to kiss him. He had to tell Jade as soon as humanly possible, to protect her from the lies I would spread. It was nauseating how I couldn’t keep it in my pants, and everyone agreed. It’s me, I’m the problem, and every single one of them knows it.
“He said you had a panic attack,” Jade said, ripping me out of my tomb of a brain. “You haven’t had one… in forever.”
The breath I took was painful, but full of utmost relief. Out of all of the things Felix could’ve shared with Jade, I’m not excited it had to be this, but it was better than the latter.
“Um, yeah,” I mumbled, crinkling the plastic bottle between my dirty fingers. There wasn’t a reason to lie, or to pretend like it didn’t happen. She looked pretty beat up about it so I’m not sure there was much more I could say to make her feel worse.
Although… I could tell her I’d been having them almost daily…
“Why didn’t you tell me,” she said.
“I didn’t want to ruin your night,” I shrugged.
Jade rolled her eyes. “You wouldn’t ruin my night, why would you think that?”
Shrugging again, I take another gulp of water.
“Stop doing that,” she mimicked my shoulders and swatted a hand toward me, “Talk to me. Why would you think you’d ruin my night if you didn’t feel good?”
Dropping my arms by my side I pressed my lips together and held in a sigh. Toying with the bottle in front of my chest nervously, I half shrugged, then rolled my head back with a groan.
“I told you I didn’t feel good,” I whispered.
“What?” Jade cocked her head to the side, pointing an ear toward me. Clenching my jaw, I dropped my soft glare to hers.
“I told you. Last night. I didn’t feel good,” I said clearly. Watching the gears shift in her brain behind her gorgeous eyes, I finished the water she brought me and walked away from her to toss it into the garbage just on the inside of the office door.
When I turned back around I found that she hadn’t moved a muscle. Her eyes were checking me out, though. She loved it when I looked like this.
Last summer I’d do it on purpose. Smear some grease on my forehead, dirty my jeans, rip the neck of my t-shirt just a bit so that when she got her teeth on it she’d be able to tear it right off of me. I truly, honestly, don’t know what it is about girls finding guys attractive when they’re an absolute mess.
I’d come home sweaty, smelling like an old garage with bandages around my fingers, and she was a sucker for it. Personally, I didn’t get it.
“When did you tell me that?” she asked, and I immediately envisioned how she looked beside Chan last night.
“You asked me to dance with you, and I didn’t want to,” I said. She averted her gaze, glancing around the garage that was in disarray. It seemed this discussion was going to go on longer than expected, so I continued my work. Closing the hood of the Ford, I turned on the heels of my boots and started to straighten up the mess I had made.
“Nelly Furtado,” she said quietly. Giving her a look over my shoulder, I huffed a laugh and shook my head. “Oh, c’mon, I love Nelly Furtado.” The smile that danced on her lips convinced me to smile.
“Oh, I know,” I copied her tone, putting a couple of tools into a metal drawer, then I muttered to myself, “Can’t believe that’s what that makes you think of.”
“I was dancing with Chan, right?”
“Sure were,” I sang, bending over to gather a wrench that laid partially beneath a tire- where I wished to be at the moment.
“Why do you have to say it like that?” her tone took a wicked turn.
Tossing the wrench into the drawer, I spun around with furrowed brows. “…What?”
“You make it sound like I was doing something wrong, like it’s a crime to have fun with my friends.”
Taking a breath, I grumbled, “I never said that.”
“Then, how come, every time Chan gets brought up you get all pissy. You know he’s my best friend, you’ve never been able to accept that. Whenever he’s around…”
I turned it off.
Whichever part of my anatomy was listening to her, I turned it off.
I finished straightening up my work space in the minutes it took for her to tell me off, leaving me with enough time to hear her say, “You don’t even try with Minho anymore.”
I’ve never moved faster, turning myself around to flash her a glare that could kill.
“Don’t I?” I balled my fingers into fists.
“He says you don’t.”
“You saw us last night at the bar, right? We were having a fantastic time,” I sneered. “Didn’t it seem like it?”
Jade, who still had her arms folded, shrugged. “I guess, I dunno, I was a little drunk.”
“Then let me clear it up for you,” I said, taking three steps toward her. “He found me after the panic attack Felix told you all about.” Her eyes show no sign of cracking, she was maintaining her ground. I wasn’t even sure when this became a competition. “Me and Felix were fine, things were good, I was good, and then he came over with his little puppy dog on a leash, and the two of them harassed Felix.”
If she wasn’t going to question what Minho made me think she was going to question- I was not going to bring it up.
“What they said, the word they used?” I couldn’t imagine what my face looked like. “Felix doesn’t care who knows he’s gay, he told us himself months ago that he’s been out since he was fifteen.”
Jade blinked a couple of times and focused down on the concrete.
“Your friends made a shitty move,” I said, nodding. “There isn’t a person on earth who should use that word. It’s disgusting.”
“My friends,” she said, looking back up at me.
“Yeah,” I dug. “Your friends. My friends don’t talk to people that way.”
Her lips parted to throw something back at me, but she hesitated and snapped her jaw shut. I knew what she wanted to say. I could see it on her face.
What friends?
“I didn’t know that happened,” she opted to say instead. Folding my hands together I let them dangle in front of my thighs as I leaned backward to rest my body against one of the workbenches.
“Well, it’s not like Felix was just gonna tell anybody he got belittled, was he?”
Jade jabbed a finger toward her heart. “He’s my friend too, Jinnie. They all are. Felix is too nice, he’s not going to start something for no reason.”
My temper almost snapped. “No reason? They fucking called him-”
“Don’t yell at me! I’m not the one who said it,” her own anger shone in her eyes, much like mine. “God, we can’t even have one conversation without you screaming.”
“Without- are you kidding?” I sighed heavily, a sadistic smile appearing on my lips. “If you listened to me I wouldn’t have to do that.”
Jade snickered and shook her head. “And what am I supposed to do with…” her voice trailed off as she dropped her arms to her side and slouched over a bit. With her voice flat as can be, shot me an empty look to groan, “This.” She stood up and adjusted her posture. “So annoying.”
My heart twisted. It twisted until I thought I was going to go dizzy and fall to the dusty ground of this garage.
“Yet you’re still with me,” I muttered as loud as I could. Her expression went wild. There were a few seconds of silence. I thought it had happened, that this was the break up. It was extremely unclear what this entire discussion had done, but one thing was for sure, neither of us knew how to fix it.
“Felix mentioned he’s free tonight if you want to hang out at Haven,” Jade said quickly. “So you don’t have to be alone, and so he can… check in with you about yesterday.”
The sudden switch in subjects made it obvious that Jade didn’t have anything else to say. That, or she didn’t want to follow my comment up with a single thought of her own.
And that was what I was dying for most.
The anger boiling beneath my skin calmed like crazy at the mention of Felix and his invitation, but it was weird to feel excited about seeing him while standing here in front of Jade.
If I was going to be his friend though, it was normal. This was normal. Two friends going out for a drink to catch up, to hang out, to chill. That’s what people did with one another.
Jade’s mask slipped for half of a second as she watched me ponder over the invite, and I knew I could tell that she was worried.
“I had no idea you two were that close,” she said. Shrugging in response, not to purposely annoy her, I folded my arms over my torso.
“It’s probably just because of last night,” I said. “He’s- You know what he does for work… right?”
“I do,” Jade nearly snapped. She took in my quiet being for a minute before she said, “Have fun, I guess.” She started to walk out of the garage, taking her time, letting her feet drag over the ground like she had more to say. “Don’t drink too much,” she mumbled.
Popping my brows, I said, “Don’t have to worry about that, Felix is a good boy.” Jade glanced back at me fast, pausing her stroll.
“Right,” she narrowed her eyes.
“No, I mean it,” I said. “He didn’t even drink last night. If it’s just us I don’t know if I’ll even have one.” The derogatory chuckle that slipped past her lips made me sick.
“Okay,” was all she said before leaving me alone in the garage, either heading to work early or stopping by Chans for a while to complain about me.
I didn’t have much brain power left to process what had just happened, so instead of letting it bug me I decided to push it aside and bring it up later with Felix. I knew he was going to ask about it, he could probably help me decipher whether or not this relationship could be patched up- if I ask him as a friend.
Turning the radio off I snatch a towel from the workbench to pat down my forehead to my neck, and sling it around my shoulders as I take myself into the office and sit back in one of the black leather swiveling chairs. There were two in this single roomed building, black leather chairs from my boss's old home that his wife wanted to get rid of. This entire room was full of things he wasn’t allowed to keep anywhere else. Old baseball photos were on the wall and his desk, knick knacks of all sorts from trips and kids projects littered the shelves… It was homey in the best way.
Taking a breath in the cool air, I sit quietly for a couple of minutes and let my brain go blank. No thoughts of Jade, no thoughts of Haven, no thoughts of break ups, but a tiny, miniscule thought lingered behind. A thought that made me consider calling Felix instead of Sharon-Sherry first, just to tell him that I’d meet him at the bar tonight.
Snatching the phone off the set I press it to my ear, the flat dial tone buzzing without end. Staring down at the numbers, I hesitated, then huffed a laugh. I didn’t know his number by heart. I’d have to wait until Sharon-Sherry picked up her car to call him from home. Gathering the appropriate paperwork, I gave the woman a ring and told her the Ford was ready, acquiring another sweet set of words from her motherly instincts. It’s as if she could tell I grew up without one.
The family showed up within the hour, all four of them pulling up in the husbands pick up that desperately needed new tires, but I figured I’d let them come to me when they were ready. Already complaining about other companies' prices prior to their appointment with me, they didn’t need another expense right this second.
Their sons tumbled out of the backseat in their soccer jerseys with dirty knees and disheveled hair, trailing directly behind their mother like little ducks in a row. They hurried to the car and peeked around at it, babbling questions to me, asking me how I fixed it and what I had done.
Sharon-Sherry, who was actually Shelley, was talking over them as any mother would and took care of her bill with another soft smile. She thanked me for cleaning the windows that I had done while I waited for them to arrive, cupped my cheek one last time, and ushered her children into the vehicle.
The youngest, Felix, turned around to look at me where I stood in the doorway of the office, propped against the doorway on my shoulder. He smiled wide, missing a front tooth, waved, and said, “Thank you for helping my mom!”
Children were strange little beings. I didn’t exactly hate them, but I didn’t love them. This one, however, with chubby cheeks and a red Gatorade stain on his upper lip- this one was adorable. He got me to smile, and he even got a small wave in return.
Jumping up into the Ford, the boy reached to shut the door with two of his hands and buckled his seatbelt once he was settled. Listening to his mother as she spoke to the two of them, Shelley started the car and didn’t give me another look. Felix did, though. As his mother pulled out of the garage, he smiled at me until his little head couldn’t turn any further.
Shelley seemed like a good mom. I guess kids weren’t all that bad, it just mattered who was raising them.
Closing up shop, I left the paystub on my boss’s desk and clocked out, locking the office door on the front of the building. Leaving through the one that took me into the garage, I locked it as well and gathered my things from the shelf above one of the toolboxes, shoving my wallet deep into my back pocket.
It took me fifteen minutes total to get home after I pulled the garage shut. Taking my time once I got to my building, for no other reason than to possibly avoid Jade, I unlocked my apartment door quietly. Stepping inside into the air conditioning and closed curtains, nobody was home. I was unsure why it irked me though, Jade not being here. It’s not like after the argument we had she’d be here waiting for me, so why was I expecting her to be?
Over by the phone there was a small piece of paper with Felix’s name written on it followed by a number, in Jades handwriting. The tiny smiley face below it that she had drawn must’ve been an attempt to lessen the blow after coming to confront me at work. She was meticulous, she knew I’d come home and see it, she knew we were going to have a blown out of proportion conversation because that's how we rolled.
If she was out for the night, then so be it. I was too.
Dialing his number I waited with baited breath for the thick Aussie accent to bless my ears, and when it did swiftly, and deeply, I smiled bigger than I had all day.
“Hello?” Was all he had to say to flood my chest with warmth.
“Hi,” I began, twisting the phone cord around my finger. “I, uh, got your message.”
“Hyunjin,” it seemed Felix sighed. “Hey, how are you?”
“Fine,” my shoulders wanted to live beside my ears today. “Just got home from work, I need a shower.” A gentle laugh rumbled through the line from his end and I wanted to claw my fingers in my hair.
“Busy day?” Felix asked. Leaning my back against the counter top, the phone cord wrapped around my torso, stretching with me as I spun around.
“Not really,” I said. “Today was easy, only one appointment.”
“Was it something crazy?” It sounded like Felix had just woken up. Either that or he was really comfortable, relaxed. His voice was twice as deep as usual.
“Not at all, typical maintenance stuff I guess,” I said. “The lady was nice. She had a kid that had your name. He was a trip.” Nibbling my bottom lip, I smiled even wider hearing another laugh come through the phone.
“He’s a bad kid?”
Shaking my head as if he could see me before I answered, I said, “No. Not at all. He was respectful.”
“That’s really sweet,” Felix said. I could tell he was smiling too.
“I met him before I fixed up their car,” I said, then my voice dropped several decibel’s. “Made me think of you.”
Felix took a deep breath, I could hear it. There's a slight rustling around on his side, like he was sitting up, or laying down, either one, before he said, “I was thinking about you too.”
“Hope you didn’t hurt yourself in the process,” I joked, and he scoffed straight away.
“Don’t you dare start self-deprecating already,” he laughed again.
I couldn’t help but laugh with him. “Sorry, it’s a habit I guess.”
“Enough of it,” he said. “You sound like you’re having a much better day than yesterday, don’t sabotage it.”
Bobbing my head, I pressed my lips together. “Does it sound terrible if I say that’s because I spent most of the day alone?”
His end is quiet for longer than before, Felix pondering over what I’ve said. It did sound terrible to say that aloud, and the more time between him saying things made it worse.
“No,” he finally spoke, and I released a breath I didn’t even know I was holding. “I mean, maybe, but… You know when you feel your best, it’s okay to chase that feeling, you should chase that feeling.”
“Great, so I’ll see you at seven?” I sighed quickly, catching him right at the end of his sentence. Felix is silent once more.
“Yeah,” he nearly whispered. “I’ll see you at seven. Enjoy your shower.” We both laughed together before muttering quiet goodbyes.
The call made me feel good. I was going to chase that feeling.
A few minutes past seven I tiptoed into Haven. There weren’t any recognizable cars in the parking lot so it seemed like I was in the clear, even though I was meeting Felix here as a friend. Anxiety holed up in my chest below my heart on the drive over here. Running into other people who are considered my friends wasn’t on the to do list for the evening, and I wasn’t prepared to deal with it.
Yanking the heavy door open, another thing I wanted to change about this place, I walked straight over to the bar without a single glance anywhere else. I beelined for a stool, I almost ran. With a deep breath I rested my elbow on the wood and placed my chin on my fist.
The music was loud and made me cringe, and the people nose to nose that occupied every square inch of the concrete floor were speaking at a volume that had them yelling at one another. Amazing Haven.
A familiar face greets me from behind the bar, her curly blonde hair pulled back into a twisted bun tonight instead of dangling at her shoulders. With a smile she leaned forward and pointed behind me.
“Are you supposed to be over there?” Dina asked cheekily, giggling as I whipped my head to follow her direction. Felix was sitting at one of the high top tables in the back corner with his legs crossed and his thumb nail between his teeth.
His blonde hair wasn’t styled, it was unruly and free, just brushing his eyelashes and the nape of his neck. Around his neck he wore a skinny silver chain that hugged his skin snuggly, complimenting the pastel blue t-shirt he was wearing. As my eyes drew further down his body, my breath hitched within my throat. The shirt was cropped at the bottom, resting above the waist of his jeans, and with the way he was sitting with his legs crossed, one side had risen exposing the smallest sliver of sun kissed skin.
“He got here a few minutes ago,” Dina said, popping her brows when I looked at her. “Wandered in here with his eyes all big. I was wondering who he was looking for ‘cause none of your other friends are here.” She smirked. “Now it makes sense.”
Clearing my throat, I tucked my dark, clean hair behind my ear and shifted on the stool awkwardly. “You got to know us pretty fast.”
Dina shrugged. “Yeah, well, Minho works here. He talks about you guys all the time.”
Rolling my eyes I muttered, “I’m sure he does.” Glancing at Felix who hadn’t spotted me yet, his eyes were drawn to the people dancing in the middle of the room, I spun back around and leaned toward Dina. “Can I get a water… and a Sprite.”
“Water and a Sprite,” she smiled. “Go sit with your boyfriend, I’ll bring it back to you.”
“He’s not my boyfriend,” I said quickly and quietly, my eyes probably ogling out of my head. That would’ve been a fun one for her to tell Minho. Peeking at whoever was beside me, praying it wasn’t a muscley man, I asked, “Why would you even think that?” My stomach flopped. Dina nodded her head slow, letting her eyes draw from Felix to me.
She whispered, “I’m gay.”
“Oh,” I sighed. Relief rushed through my veins. There was something comforting about her telling me this, having only known me for about twenty four hours.
“I could feel it between you two,” she said. “Friends don’t giggle at each other the way you two were gigglin’ at each other, dude. Plus, everytime you look at him you stink the place up with your fuckin’ pheramones like a lady in-”
“Okay!” I laughed, slapping a hand on the wood to cut her off. Dina grins, proud. Dropping my gaze to the bar, I released a breath and slouched a bit.
“I won’t say anything,” she said, making me look up at her. The look on her face read understanding, and safety. “I heard Han and Minho last night, what they were saying. I’m actually a little disappointed ‘cause I thought Minho was cool.”
Another roll of my eyes was a satisfying response to her.
“I get it,” she said. “That’s what I mean. And I’m hoping this place doesn’t turn into a homophobe sanctuary.” She laughed at herself. “You’re safe with me. Now, go. You look happy when you talk to him.”
I followed her instruction and stood up, facing the back of the bar with my lips pressed together. Waiting for only a few seconds, I took a deep breath and started for Felix. Felix who looked really pretty. Glancing down to myself and my dark clothes I only hoped that he wouldn’t judge what I was wearing, it seemed he always knew how to dress himself, I didn’t want to look like a schlub next to him.
His sharp jaw was clenched, pointed directed toward the dance floor, he barely noticed me walking toward him until I was a few feet away. Shooting me a look with wide eyes, he broke out into a small smile and sat forward, his arms still folded over his chest.
“Hi,” he said, watching me as I sat down in the chair across from him. The round table put about two feet of space between us.
“Hey,” I said, sitting backward, smiling at him. He didn’t respond right away, instead his gaze was fixated on mine, then it danced around my appearance, probably analyzing me, or whatever his therapist brain was trained to do. The smile was still on his face though, despite him studying my energy.
“How was your shower?” he teased, laying his hands on the table.
Shaking my head, I laughed. “Was fantastic, thanks for asking.”
“Of course,” he said. “I’m glad it was fantastic, you deserve it.”
If anyone was looking, if there was a single soul watching us, I’m positive our cheesy grins were insufferable. Neither of us had stopped.
“Did you work today?” I asked. His brown eyes softened as he shook his head.
“Not today,” he said. “I get off on Thursdays, but I’ll be there all day tomorrow.”
“Thursday’s your only day off?” I asked, my smile dropping finally, pulling into a frown.
Felix shook his head. “During the week it is, I still have weekends.”
Dina approached our table with two glasses in one hand and two shots in the other, making Felix question me with his brows. “Here we go boys,” she said happily. Then, with a wink to us both she said, “Enjoy. This rounds on me, but, shift change.” She gestured toward the bar. “I’ll see you guys again.”
Felix had the view of her walking away, and once she was out of ear shot he flashed me a grin. “What is this?”
Picking up the shot she had placed in front of me, I smelled it and huffed a laugh. “I only ordered the drinks, I didn’t know she was gonna do this.” Tipping the shot glass toward him I shrugged. “You don’t have to drink it.”
“Is this what I think it is?” he asked, taking a sip of the soda out of the straw. To his delight, he smacked his lips once and laughed aloud, swatting one of my hands. “You’re so funny.” Nibbling my bottom lip I glanced at my lap and blushed, smiling entirely too big.
“I had to,” I said. “You love it.” Our eyes met as he took another sip and nodded.
Placing the glass on the table, Felix said, “I’m flattered you remember.”
“It was only last night,” I shrugged, furrowing my brows the slightest.
“Yeah, but, you were drinking,” he said, his tone calm enough that it didn’t disrupt my nervous system. “Things get a little blurry.”
“Something like that,” I agreed, bobbing my head. Felix gave me a soft smile, then took both shot glasses in his hands and insisted I take it. “What?” I questioned, raising a brow.
“Let’s do it,” he said. Cupping the little glass, I dropped my chin just enough to eye him curiously. “I’m serious!”
“You don’t have to.” My tentative tone made him pout. Now my nervous system has jolted. Those big eyes and squished lips were dangerous. I’ve never had so many butterflies in my stomach at once. “You work tomorrow, and it’s just us here, we don’t need to drink, I mean.”
A foot of his stretches underneath the table to tap one of my ankles. “You really are funny,” he said. “I can handle a shot, Hyunjin.” I retaliate and tap his ankle next, but with both of my feet to trap it.
“I just wanted to make sure,” I said, letting my voice lilt playfully. Sitting forward to rest my chest against the table, I squeeze his ankle between my feet and tug it toward me. His entire chair moved beneath him, the legs scooting closer to the table, closer to me.
“Oh my god!” he laughed, gripping the edge of the wood. Letting his leg go free, placing mine on the rungs of the chair below, I held the shot up toward him and smirked. Felix copied me, a shit eating smirk appearing on his lips as he held the shot out.
Under the table his foot found mine again, but this time it danced up my shin as he re-crossed his own legs, letting his foot rest against the inside of my knee. Perking a brow, he tapped the rim of his glass to mine and knocked it back without a cringe to my amazement. Someone doing a shot shouldn’t be as hot as that was.
He put the glass down and licked his lips, dragging his thumb over the bottom one all while keeping his eyes locked on mine. My parted lips gave me away, and he laughed.
“C’mon,” he mumbled, taking the glass from me. Watching him move, he pressed the glass to my lips and tipped it backward, my body following the unspoken directions, tilting my chin back so the vodka could go right down my throat. He didn’t have to say a word, my body reacted to him in an instant.
I swallowed and looked at him. We were both shocked by what had just happened, his hands were frozen in front of me holding an empty shot glass.
Last night Felix told me he didn’t do cheaters. Last night Felix stopped me from making a mistake by kissing him. I hadn’t told him a lick of what has happened with Jade since then, and here he was dangling his foot between my knees and caressing my chin with his fingers feeding me a shot of alcohol.
It must’ve been a collective realization because he quickly pulled his leg back, shifting sideways in his chair to lean against the back of it, putting more space between us. His ring filled fingers were folded and placed in his lap where I couldn’t reach them.
“Sorry,” he said with a single nod. I still hadn’t moved, I was leaning over the wood.
“S’okay,” I laughed. “You got me back for yesterday.”
Felix closed his eyes for a moment to laugh with me. “So, what? We’re even now?” he asked, flashing me a look.
Pursing my lips, I nodded. “Yeah, we’re even.”
“So, we can start over?” he asked. Cocking my head sideways, I narrowed my eyes. “Last night, and… now. We can start over. It never happened.”
“Oh,” I sighed. What an interesting concept, starting over. If it was possible for Felix, I’m sure it’d be possible for me as well. “Yeah, we can start over.” The smile that took over his plush lips made me melt.
“So, Hyunjin,” Felix started, resting his arms on the table, leaning toward me once again. “What do you do for work?” The playful, sarcastic interest in his eyes made me laugh. This was going to be too much fun.
An hour or so passed and the two of us had talked about absolutely everything. Felix heard about work, and I heard about his, and after the jokes had dissipated things got a little more serious and I brought up Jade and what had happened earlier today in the garage. Not a detail was spared, he heard it all. For some reason, around Felix, no matter what we were discussing, I was unable to hide anything.
He told me about their phone call, and he apologized for telling Jade about my panic attack, but he assumed that she and I would’ve talked when we had gotten home. I told him what happened instead, leaving out the part where he was on my mind.
Okay, maybe I was able to hide something from him. This was still brand new, and I wanted him to be a friend, and we technically just started over, so I didn’t want to ruin anything.
Another hour after that we were discussing our families, and I found out that he was a middle child sandwiched between sisters who lived in Australia together. His entire family moved out here a couple of years ago because of his father and work, but once his eldest sister was of age she moved back home with the youngest of the three. By that time Felix had been close to graduating and was already working where he’s currently employed, so he decided to stay.
Discussing my family wasn’t on my list of favorite things to do, so when the conversation shifted over to myself I attempted to ask him more about his. Felix, directly beside me, having switched seats at some point within the night, shook his head and insisted that I tell him about my life, that he wanted to hear about it.
A part of me didn’t want to because of the therapist within him, but then again the other part of me had never been asked about myself on this level of depth. Nor had anyone ever wanted to listen, or wanted to know.
It came out slow, and he hung onto every word, keeping quiet, letting me tell my story the way that I wanted to. He didn’t interrupt, even to ask why. The slight raise in brows in the center of his forehead was enough to keep me going, to keep me talking. Even when I brought up what high school was like with my drunk of a father, how he’d stopped caring long before I even went in, and I had to hold the four years together on my own, and that was when I had started drinking myself… Felix took my arm in his hand and caressed the muscle with his thumb, his gaze holding an ocean of empathy for me.
“I’m so sorry,” he whispered, inches away from me.
With a shrug I said, “It’s okay. That’s over now.”
“When was the last time you spoke to him?” Felix asked, squeezing my arm for support.
“The truth?” I questioned, and he nodded. “When I graduated from school. High school.” The way his face screwed up in pain as if he was the one to go through what I had hurt my heart. This empathetic creature had a big storm coming if he wanted to keep me close. “I moved in with Changbin as soon as possible, then we went to college together.”
“How’d you get through school?” he asked. “If you don’t mind me asking.”
I shifted closer to him, letting my shoulder rest against his. “No, it’s fine,” I said. “I, uh, reached out to my family when I wanted to go, while I was still in my senior year, and my grandfather- My moms dad. He helped me some of the way. I think in some ways I thank my mom, like she was looking out for me, or something, I dunno it probably sounds cheesy. I ended up getting a scholarship ‘cause I’m pretty good at school believe it or not. Think I get that from her, ‘cause I sure don’t get it from my dad.”
Felix was focused on my lips while I spoke, and his body weight was falling into mine like he couldn’t get close enough.
“That’s beautiful,” he said quietly, and I looked over at him. Our noses were inches apart. “She gave you a part of her to keep.” I smiled.
“I got her face, too,” I joked, wiggling my brows. “I look just like her.”
Felix smiled, eyes studying my features. “She must’ve been positively stunning.”
“She was,” I whispered. “She was kind, too. And she loved to sing.” Felix took one of my hands in his, for comfort, unsure of how this was going to make me feel. Talking about my mother was hard, but around Felix it came easy.
“Do you like to sing?” he asked, the corners of his lips perking up. My eyes went wide as I shook my head.
“I’m not very good,” I half-groaned, making him laugh his beautiful laugh.
“When do you ever get the chance to?” he drew on. “I’m sure you’re good, don’t doubt yourself.” His fingers messed around with mine.
“If I'm in the garage alone, maybe I will,” I said. “Or, if I’m driving alone, maybe.”
“So no one’s ever heard you sing?” Felix squinted mischievously.
I smiled. “I try not to make unnecessary noise.” He laughs again, his head falling to my shoulder as the sound blesses my ears. “I’m serious!” I exclaimed. “Did I not just tell you about my dad? You think he wanted me to be singing around our house?!” The more things I said, the harder he laughed, but I knew he wasn’t laughing at me. “The guy passed out at two in the afternoon, I’m sure he would’ve loved being awoken by me belting Celine Dion when I got home from grade school.”
“Oh god, you’re gonna kill me!” Felix wrapped his arm that wasn’t occupied by my hand around his stomach, taking deep breaths to calm himself. Still face down on my shoulder, the laughter started up again as soon as it stopped.
“Now what?” I giggled with him.
“I’m sorry,” he sucked in a breath, “I can just imagine you as a kid scream singing in the shower or something, I just-” Lifting his head, there were tears rimming his eyes, and the sight was enough to make me lose it. Slapping the table a few times, Felix tips his head backward and screeches, “ANNND I-”
Several heads turn, unappreciative of the spontaneous display of Whitney Houston from the Aussie. With a cackle, I reach my other arm across him and pull him into my chest to shut him up. “I could’ve been Celine Dion herself, these people don’t know talent,” Felix said quickly between laughs and gulps of air.
My eyes shot open wide. “Who?!” Felix twists his brows and tilts his head. “Celine Dion? What? Who sings that song?”
“Whitney Houston!?” I cried, rocking us back and forth as we laughed even harder.
“I don’t know my women,” he said, sitting up in my arms to wipe the tears out of his eyes. My arms fell around his back, above his waist. The cropped shirt he was wearing had moved amongst the laughter, so my hands were barely touching the bare skin of his hips.
“I don’t expect you to,” I said softly, teasingly. Felix dropped his hands into my lap and sighed with a goofy grin, his head lulling to the right.
As chaos ensued within Haven around us, the air between us fell still, and quiet. It wasn’t awkward, if anything it felt right, like this was where we were supposed to be- making fools out of ourselves when neither of us were drunk, not giving a shit about what people thought of us. It was the most free I’ve felt in ages, it was liberating, and it was because of Felix. He wanted to get to know me, for me. He wanted to listen to me, to listen to me. He was genuine, and he cared.
And the way his eyes shifted in this moment gave me a scare. A small one. I knew mine had changed as well, so it should’ve been no surprise. The strength in our gazes was incredibly magnetic, that once the world got dizzy, our foreheads touched, and I was looking down at him, feeling my heart flutter at the way he gazed up through his long lashes.
A hand slid up behind my neck, Felix’s fingers tangling in the hair on the nape of my neck, his nails on my scalp sending a shiver down my spine. Lips parted, he smiled, and his big eyes closed, as did mine.
I could’ve flatlined right then and there.
He kissed me. He, Felix, kissed me.
It wasn’t a chaste, delicate kiss either. Felix kissed me in a way that rendered me thoughtless, like he’d been waiting years for this. His fingers tightened in my hair, keeping me close. Resting my hands on his back, I slid them up his shirt and pressed my fingers into his muscle, sighing within the kiss. He was tiny, but he was strong, I could literally feel it.
Between shared air and more kisses, his fingers twirled my hair around, messing with it to his heart's content. His rings nudged my scalp, the coolness of the metal adding to the comforting sensation.
And it was over before I knew it. Felix’s hand slipped down to my shoulder as he pulled away, sitting backward to look at me. I couldn’t read his expression, it was a mix of lust and uncertainty.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. Taking my hands from around his back to his knees, I lowered my brows and shook my head.
“It’s okay,” I said. “I loved that.”
Felix pressed his lips together sheepishly. “Me too. I thought about that all night last night.”
Releasing a breath, I half laughed. “I thought about you all night last night.” Felix narrowed his eyes, remembering what I told him I did last night. “And I mean, all night.”
He took a deep breath. “What do you say, we have a drink, just one, then we can go? I work early, and this place is starting to give me a headache, anyway.” I accepted this as his acknowledgement, and smiled.
“I’d love one,” I said.
“Perfect,” he sighed, jumping out of the chair. “I’ll go, you stay here. Don’t run away on me.” He signaled to me and his eyes with two of his fingers and waltzed towards the bar without saying anything else.
Turning to face the table completely, straightening my posture out, I sat backward and scanned my surroundings, not realizing the place had filled up entirely while Felix and I had sat here for hours. Thursdays were popular, I guess, but then again, like always, this place was always full. Crossing my arms, I watched the people dance to the music and it didn’t make me want to vomit. For some reason, tonight it was tolerable.
Felix came back faster than he was gone, empty handed.
Sitting up, I smiled and started to ask, “Hey, do you maybe wanna-”
“Nope,” he said, his tone hushed and rushed. “I think we should go.”
My mouth was still open, mid-question asking, so I opted for a nod.
“Uh, sure, yeah we can-”
“Minho’s at the bar,” Felix said. Shift change, Dina had told us. I didn’t even put two and two together.
Rage filled my entire being. Tightening my fists, I clenched my jaw just the same.
“What’d he say to you,” I growled.
Felix shook his head. “Nothing, I didn’t even make it up there. I saw him, and he saw me, and the look on his face, I just… He clearly saw me before I saw him, so I don’t know what else he saw.” There was a quiver in Felix’s voice that I had never heard before, it sounded like worry. And I was well aware of what came after worry. And I’ll be damned if it’s Minho who makes Felix feel that way.
“I swear to god,” I grumbled, leaping from my chair with persistence. Seconds away from storming over to the bar, Felix caught me by the arm and held me back. Turning, I looked down at him and his pleading eyes.
“Don’t,” he said firmly. “Let’s just go.”
“But, he-”
“No,” Felix said, giving my arm a squeeze. “We’re leaving. Please.”
His ‘please’ must’ve hit me just right.
We were out of that bar without a measly second glance at Minho.
I knew some damage had been done. There was no way I was getting out of this one. This time I had a witness.

the corpse lays out on the table, ribcage splayed like arms open for an embrace. it does him no good to look, but he looks anyway ––– memorizing every inch of the slack face / the altar of organs stacked to the side. ( he has to do it now, because when hollis is finished, she’ll put a sheet over the body. that done, there won’t be a body to look at anymore. SHE’LL HAVE MADE A GHOST. ) the medical examiner glances up; he’s too busy studying her hands to meet her eyes for the half-second they’re his to meet.    ‘ i don’t care. ‘    charlie rarely means to say things quite so sour as they come out. it just happens, the same way fruits grow bitter when the sun’s too warm. ( I DON’T CARE. as in, stay however long you need to. as in, i won’t stop you. )    ‘ just here to return a file. ‘
he holds the folder in question close to his body; it’s not heavy enough to justify the two-handed carry, really. a thin stack of papers comprised of the police and autopsy reports, neatly typed / the beginning of a psychological profile, equally neatly written in his own hand. ( you can tell a lot about a murderer from where they choose to stick the knife ––– if they use one at all. ) for all his claims of being here to return the file to the pathologists desk for the night, he doesn't move.    ‘ –––how did he die? ‘

She'd have to clean some of the bones as decomp was beginning to set in when the body was found and since it was half-submerged the cause of death is proving a bit more tasking. Gloved fingertips press aside some musculature to investigate a possible injury while Charlie remains in the doorway--- watching. The redhead was used to gawkers, after all, she was often te one gawking while in lecture so why should it bother her that Charlie seems a bit interested in what she was doing. She spent her better years sequestered in morgues doing much of what he was doing now: watching. It didn't bother or worry her. Death was fascinating and she may understand that interest better than other.
"Dr Hall won't be back until the morning," Hollis informed Charlie, "but I'll be sure he gets it if you want to leave it with me. If not, he's usually around by 830am, if he doesn't get stuck waiting for his usual breakfast sandwich." Hollis lifted a tool and it glittered brightly in the light earning her attention for the briefest of moments before she uses it to cut free the stomach and lift it out of the quickly emptying cavernous corpse. Weighing the organ she clicks the recorder on to record the weight and measurements before clicking it off again. Conversations were troublesome to sort through when recording so she often recording only the necessary for notations.
Dark eyes, darker than most, narrowed in on Charlie's large and awkward frame. He was too large, she often thought, for him to move as easily as her and while his size was intimidating, Charlie himself seemed to understand this and he'd hunch and make himself small. She thought he'd look much better if he wore his size proudly. Being large wasn't always a bad thing. Being intimidating was often a very useful thing. Oh how she wished she could be bigger than she was. Maybe then she'd be taken more seriously.
"I'm not sure, yet," she admitted with a frown. Not knowing things always pestered her to the point of madness. "There are some cuts to some rib bones and the sternum, indicating a possible stabbing. But, there's so much damage I'm still sorting through what could have been the fatal injury. I still have to check the lungs for water in case there was a drowning. Body was found in a sewer drain, after all." Hollis regarding Charlie once more and her head canted to the side, "Wanna see?"

November 13 - 2023 Monday
10:52pm
When I woke up I decided I was tired of my forming beard so I shaved it off. It felt good and had been around long enough to look weird with it gone. Before I shaved it completely, I gave myself a caterpillar stache which looked funny and also like something I could rock when I get older. In the shower when I was gonna use my close shaver, it wasn't charged so I had to wait for my second shower after my workout to get baby smooth. Breakfast was corned beef hash, an egg, 2 pieces of toast, and half a serving of cereal. It was a big breakfast to account for my workout later. In stream I only did a couple warmup sketches and committed to refining one picture because I didn't feel like being too imaginative this morning. I finished Blink's commission which turned out okay but he had a lot of (valid) fixes to be made so I had to go back to it a few times. Honestly I'm just annoyed at characters with needlessly complicated designs. Especially when they are generically "tribal". Like what are these even supposed to mean? AND I have to draw them all perfectly? After that was finished I worked more on the next YCH. Today's Mia episode dropped some important lore and today's He Man was amazing. It's the season 1 finale which I've never seen and it went hard. After stream I started my workout. 50 lunges, 40 situps, and a 2 mile power-walk/jog. It doesn't seem like much compared to 45 minutes of wood splitting so maybe I'll up the intensity. The problem is the time it takes because I almost never get the workout and cleaning done before lunch like I plan as it is. I meant to clean before lunch today but I only had time to shower. Lunch also made me late because it took a long time to cook. I made my custom stir fry. I felt confident during today's request but it didn't actually turn out as well as I wanted and it took longer than usual. Today's project was to sketch an art trade for someone but I really had to force myself to do it. At one point I took a small break to close my eyes and listen to a stream until I felt more up to the task. Daisy also wanted to JD which was the break I really needed. We were pretty in sync today for a few of the songs and that was cute. After dancing I got back to sketching and did everything I was supposed to do. Afterwards I tried decompressing with a stream but I didn't want to watch to be honest. I didn't know what I wanted though. I probably should have found something else to do. It didn't take long for Daisy to become free and we watched an episode of She Ra while she filled out a therapy questionnaire and job application. Then I played Mother 3 and beat it for her finally. The ending was nothing like how I expected but it was still good. I have lots of things to think about before I determine what I personally think happened to everyone. In bed I played Star Stable and we talked about what we want to do with our lives and how lost we are. I am confident we will both find our way though. The best thing is we'll do it together.

step 1: be unemployed student
step 2: have a big project to procrastinate on
step 3: live with aging parents for extra motivation
step 4: success! kfkfkfkls
more serious answer (not addressed to you necessarily, i ended up writing a lot more than i thought lol):
i spent the last 2 years living in a tiny studio apartment. it came fully furnished so i moved in with only 2 suitcases and a few boxes worth of stuff, and it ended up being a very efficient and well-organized space. i think that was a key experience for me because it gave me an opportunity to approach housework (and all other everyday maintenance tasks) from a completely new angle.
for the previous *quicks mafs* 9 years of living on my own it had always been this huge, endless, impossible-to-complete list of things that i HAD to do no matter what, which meant that i usually ended up doing those things either very reluctantly (=badly) or not at all. but now, for the very first time in my life, i was living in a home where everything felt... manageable.
i think most of us have an appreciation for nice surroundings. not everyone cares about interior design or color theory or throw pillows, but we all prefer to spend our time in a clean environment. so its not like the reward for the task (e.g. washing the dishes or putting stuff away or cleaning the toilet or doing the laundry) is meaningless. it's just insufficient relative to the effort required.
for me, living in a smaller, more manageable space simply meant that the effort needed to complete those tasks was now much smaller. basically, i learned that it isn't an impossibility, that it can actually be done. i gave my inner sisyphus a smaller boulder, and he made it to the top of the mountain. and, if i may exhaust the metaphor, it is much easier to enjoy the view from up there. so its not just that i finally proved to myself that it was possible at all, but it also allowed me to focus more on enjoying the rewards.
most importantly though, it gave me a chance to develop better strategies for myself. and that is something that simply isn't possible when you're constantly exhausting yourself and struggling to just get half the things done that you want to. you don't really think about how to improve when you routinely fail to meet even the minimum goal.
this is probably all very adhd specific (and ofc it's all anecdotal) but here are some of things that helped me make the boulder smaller:
IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM(S)! it could be that you have too much space (2 rooms are easier to clean than 4), too many things filling the space (im a maximalist but i got rid of a lot of things when i realized that i wasnt dusting my shelves because i hated taking those things off the shelves and then putting them back every time), or maybe it's just that the space is badly organized
get more storage. open storage is great because i tend to forget that things exist when i haven't seen them in a while, but obviously closed storage is better for keeping things out of sight and reducing visual clutter (and dust). the goal here is for every item to have a "home" that you can return it to. nothing throws me off my game like a random object lying around. two hours later it'll be 5 things, and the next day it'll have grown into a whole pile of crap that i now have to put away. untested theory, but i firmly believe that clutter reproduces by binary fission.
storage bins, shelf dividers, boxes, baskets, trays, whag ever. these things really help with the whole "everything has a home" idea. put labels on things if necessary and marie kondo the shit out of your place. tidying up an unorganized space can feel like rebuilding new orleans after katrina on a weekly basis. but once you are organized, it becomes infinitely easier to STAY organized—maintaining order is easier than creating order.
MAKE A PLAN! ive mentioned this on here before (and again, this is very adhd specific) but i have a list for every single chore that i can refer to when i "get stuck" or start running around like a headless chicken. breaking tasks down into smaller sub-tasks means you can just do them with a no thoughts head empty kind of attitude. the brain's done its job, you're just the muscle.
example: my current list for cleaning my room is actually a keynote presentation that i put on fullscreen before i start, so whenever my adhd brain goes "where was i?" i can just look across the room and bam. keep going ⬇️
Tumblr media
i also put stuff like "laundry" or "clean bathroom" in my calendar. setting aside an hour or two on the weekend is much more effective in my experience than doing a little bit here and there whenever you can. its also a big psychological help: if you see that your hamper is getting kinda full and you go "oh i guess i should do laundry but i dont want to/can't rn/don't have the time," it just becomes another thing hanging over your head and taking up mental space. but seeing a full hamper and going "today isn't laundry day" means the file can be closed immediately.
also, when you start a load of laundry, set a timer!!!
dont be afraid to ask for help/advice, or just look things up. most chores require skill. i learned how to clean a toilet from a very nice lady on youtube. turns out the way my (adhd) mom taught me was thorough, but neither fast nor efficient lmao
USE THE RIGHT TOOLS!! example: i love vacuuming because i have a vacuum that actually works. it doesnt have to be a dyson, mine is chinese and i got it for less than a hundgie bucks on black friday. its cordless, its gorgeous, and it sucks dust like a motherfucker. the reason i love doing laundry is because i have multiple small hampers. it means i can pre-sort my laundry, and one full hamper equals the exact capacity of my warshing mashing. actually starting a load requires almost no effort because i can just grab one and dump it into the washer. my drying rack also fits a full load (hard cut back to me a few years ago and laundry day meant hangers everywhere, clothes drying over armrests and chairs, it was a nightmare). cleaning my kitchen counters is a breeze because i use disposable wipes. yes, the planet is dying, but for me they're an accessibility tool. of course i could force myself to use a cleaning rag that i have to hang up and dry and switch out and wash regularly, but that would just mean i'd never touch it. if you're not eating carrots because you hate peeling them, the solution is not to stop eating carrots. it's to buy peeled ones.
anyway. sorry, this escalated kind of quickly. but honestly, if i had figured some of these things out when i first moved out 11 years ago, i could have saved myself a lot of frustration. so if any of it helps just one person despair a little less the next time they have to clean or wash something or do whatever, im happy.
i know how insane this sounds but laundry has become one of my favorite pastimes. i am 100% serious. i was looking forward to doing laundry today because the weather is perfect for airdrying and was shocked to find my hamper empty? im also finding more and more enjoyment in housework in general. i love cleaning and tidying up, now that i am finally somewhat organized and most things have a designated place. i have somehow managed to turn this sisyphean hell into a wellspring of dopamine. most chores provide both visible progress and instant gratification and i now realize that the only reason why i always hated doing them was that i was overwhelmed with too many other responsibilites. i cook dinner almost every night now, even after a busy day, and i dont mind doing the dishes. in fact, i delight in the low stakes challenge of loading the dishwasher as efficiently as possible and i love handwashing the pots that are too big to fit. i vacuum almost daily because it is so satisfying, and i spend every free minute decorating my space, hanging pictures, making my bed, watering the plants. i oil squeaky door hinges now, and i rewire lamps, i pull weeds in the front yard and paint walls in the basement. PLEASE WILL SOMEBODY JUST LET ME BE A QUEER STAY AT HOME DAD im not built for salaried work

Love your writing. Could you write about levi being overprotective of his pregnant s/o
Tumblr media
pairing: levi x reader
cw: a really protective levi, fluff <3
author's note: anyone recognize the title?👀
Tumblr media
- one plus one equals three -
erwin had ordered you to start your maternity leave after refusing to go take said leave for a month now. being 4 month pregnant, the baby bump was starting to show and even though you were still capable of moving around, they didn't want to risk you getting hurt.
besides, this was the first baby the survey corps ever had. not to mention that it was a baby of ackerman blood, it was understandable that they would be so protective over you.
if you were being honest, you felt useless — doing nothing but sit on your ass all day because no one allows you to lift a single finger. especially levi.
you weren’t complaining though, having everything done for you was fun but it made you feel very useless around the headquarters. everything was done for you and by everything, you mean everything — even as simple as making a sandwich.
"levi, i'm bored. can i clean your office?" you whined for the nth time, watching him do his paperworks while you were sprawled out on the couch in his office.
"tch. whatever you want to do, brat" levi grumbled, not even looking up at you. you suddenly sat up, he's actually letting you do something for once?
"wait, really?" you asked, surprised that you were actually getting allowed to do something that doesn't consist of sitting on your ass the entire time.
"no. you really think i would let you clean? your clumsy self may slip and fall and you might get hurt" levi reasoned, looking up from his paperworks to look at you. you groaned, laying back down on the couch.
levi‘s eyes softened at your slightly pouted lips as he stood up from his chair and headed over to you on the couch.
“i feel so useless around here” you admitted, looking at him as he took a seat by your feet. he lifted your legs up so it was draped across his lap and began to massage your feet and legs.
”i know, brat, but you know i can’t risk you getting hurt especially now that you’re pregnant, i don’t want anything bad happen to you or the smaller brat” levi said, gently putting his hand on top of your slowly growing baby bump and sighed. you put your hands on top of his, drawing small circles on the back of his hand with your thumb.
”and you need to take care of yourself and the baby slowly growing inside of you“ levi pointed out as you sighed once again — he was right, as always.
“i know that, i just wish someone would let me do something a little productive. like make myself a snack or get you tea. the only thing i feel like i’m allowed to do since i went on maternity leave a week ago was shower and sleep“ you said softly as levi chuckled lightly and a small smile pulled at the corner of his lips.
“how about this, you help me clean around the office then you can make me tea and get yourself a sandwich afterwards?” levi suggested as your eyes lit up, inmediately nodding at his suggestion.
”deal! i’m sweeping the floor“ you said, immediately standing up from the couch and grabbing the broom that was in the corner of the room.
levi’s arms instinctively reached out when you suddenly stood up from the couch, his natural instincts to protect you from accidentally hurting yourself immediately kicking in.
he sighed a sigh of relief upon seeing that you were in fact, capable of handling yourself with no support needed — but still, he kept a close eye on you just in case you trip over some dust you fail to see.
you began to happily sweep the floor, a contented sigh leaving your lips at the feeling of being able to do chores again. levi chuckled to himself seeing how happy you got after being allowed to do something for the first time in a week.
he began cleaning too, doing most of the work so you don’t have to. the two of you cleaned his office until it was spotless like usual. you finished after an hour, being extra motivated to clean definitely helping with getting the task done quickly.
“tea?” you asked, heading to your shared bedroom to get to the mini kitchen as levi nodded. he followed closely behind, arms ready to catch you just in case.
yeah, he was that overprotective.
“do you also want a sandwich? i’m gonna make myself one“ you asked, turning to him while you started to boil the water for his tea.
“or two” you added with a chuckle, looking down at your slight bump and remembering that you now have to eat for two: yourself and the baby in your tummy. levi chuckled at you before nodding once again.
”three then” you said, grabbing everything you need to make the sandwiches. levi sat on the couch that was in your shared bedroom, watching you like a hawk and being cautious of anything that may potentially harm you.
you quickly made the sandwiches and steeped his tea before grabbing a small knife with the intention of cutting the sandwiches. levi was by your side within a millisecond of holding the knife in your hand.
“nope. you’re not doing that. you might stab yourself“ levi said, grabbing the knife from your hands and gently pushing you out of the way before cutting the sandwiches for you. you playfully glared at him and shrugged it off.
he also finished the tea, ushering you to go sit on the couch while he brought everything to the coffee table in front of the couch.
he sat down next to you and you both began to munch on your sandwiches. levi wrapped his arm around your waist and gently pulled you closer to him, keeping his hand on top of your tummy afterwards.
“can i do this more often?“ you asked, biting into your sandwich and looking up at him. levi hummed in reply, sipping on his tea.
“that depends, if you’re going to be careful and not hold knives next time“ levi said, half serious and you chuckled. you can live with that, it was better than doing nothing.
”that’s a deal” you said, munching on your sandwich again and resting your head on levi’s shoulder.
”i know i’ve been so overprotective over you these past few months and it might come off as a bit too much but i just don’t want anything to happen to you or the baby, i’m not going to forgive myself if something does“ levi said and you craned your neck a bit to look at him.
”i didn’t have anyone protecting me growing up, i always had to protect myself from the horrors of this world and i don’t want you and our child to be the same as i was before — scared and always feeling unsafe. i want to protect the both of you until my dying breath because you both mean so much to me“ levi continued as you stared at him — at loss for words. sure, levi was always open to you, saying what’s on his mind and telling you how he feels but this caught you off guard. you were simply not expecting him to say that.
“i-i’m sorry, what i said p-probably didn’t make any sense-“ levi rambled but you cut him off by gently pressing your lips against his.
“i understand” you said, a smile on your face as levi cupped your cheeks tenderly and you leaned into his touch. you understood him, completely.
“i love you so much“ you whispered and levi smiled, gently pressing his lips on yours as the both of you moved in sync.
“i love you so much“ levi whispered, kissing your forehead lovingly afterwards. he moved to your stomach, gently lifting your shirt a bit to reveal the small baby bump and pressing a kiss onto your tummy also.
”and i love you too, smaller brat“

Abbachio - Hangover
You walked inside the headquarters that you titled your home.
It was half past 3 A.M and you knew fair well everybody in the team was staying here for the night, and were most likely sleeping soundly like babies at this hour.
And so, with velvety steps and calculated slow movements, you entered the porch and quietly closed the door, moving in the dark as silently as possible.
You had just finished a tiring mission and the one thing you desired most at the moment was to crash into bed, maybe marry it since you were at it, barely thinking about the sticky blood, sweat and dried river water that stained you during your mission.
You huffed and kicked your shoes off, liberating your aching and swollen feet from them, directing yourself towards the kitchen to fetch some well-deserved water that your throat was oh-so desperately screaming for.
You were shocked to find the room lit at this hour. Your first thought was that Bruno was probably still awake and having a small break from his neverending pile of work.
Your expression completely fell, however, upon seeing that Bruno was not the one occupying the kitchen but someone else, greeting you with a heart breaking sight.
"... Leone?"
The male was slumped over the table, his head buried in his arms with one hand holding onto a spilling wine bottle, burgundy liquid running everywhere onto the wooden surface, the floor, and onto the male's clothes. Even some strands of his splayed out hair drank up the alcohol, dying them from silver to violet.
You gasped at the mess but was even more shocked by the implications behind said mess. He didn't even bother taking a glass, prefering downing the wine directly from the bottle. He wasn't planning on holding back tonight and it alarmed you.
You knew of Abbachio's tendency of alchoholism, but he was never so drunk as to black out this way and you weren't sure he would even be able to work tomorrow, or do anything else, for that matter.
"Leone..." You slowly approached his hunched over form and gently shook him. "Caro, wake up."
No response.
With you being all alone in the middle of the night, there weren't much you could do. But there were no way you'd ever leave him in this state.
Shaken with worry, you only did what your heart told you and moved the bottle away from his grip. It was almost empty at this point anyway.
You brushed his long hair to the side to let some fresh air cool his face down while you cleaned and mopped the tiled floor and table. Oh you'd make sure to lecture him about that later.
You thought about him, sitting next to you as you cleaned up. How tormented he was and how, just like the wine bottle, he spilled himself out in secrecy.
You bit back your tears. He was so alone. Tortured. It hurt you that your Leone, whom you loved so much, had to go through a trauma you could never heal for him. Or even soothed in the slightest. You were grateful that he even remotely accepted your affection, but still.
It wasn't enough, for you.
"I wish I could help you, Leone..." You murmured and caressed his soft hair, revealing more of his peaceful face, his smeared makeup not tainting any of his beauty.
Your heart clenched, he looked so calm, so sweet. How did he manage to make grief look so gentle, you would never know. You almost didn't want to move him and disturb him, but you had to.
Carefully holding his shoulders, you pulled him up, his weight much heavier than you'd have expected, even thought it should be no surprise. Abbachio was a burly man.
You craddled his head and placed him in a proper up-sitting position and he groaned.
"Uugh... Hhmmm..."
"Leone, wake up, love." You still held his face against your chest and patted his cheek to wake him, scared that he'd sway and tumble over if you let go of him. "You gotta go to bed. Come on."
"Hmmm.... Sssuuuree...." He mumbled, words slurred.
He was surprisingly compliant, you thought. When you were certain he could hold his own head up, you let go and grabbed his wrist, still drenched in wine.
You hooked his arm around your shoulders and wrapped your own around his torso. He made the effort to stay in balance while you hoisted him up to his feet, not without struggle and effort on your part.
You stumbled a bit, but managed to get him up, at least, holding onto him for dear life as you maneuvered his much heavier body around the kitchen.
He counted on you for support and was close to falling sleeping on you as he snored against your hair, the stench of alcohol reaching your nostrils. Man, why did he have to be the heaviest male of the group?
You brushed your exhaustion from the preceeding mission to the side and dedicated yourself to helping Leone. Rest could wait.
Thanks to the help of your Stand, you ended the course safely back to his room and opened the door, having more hands to do so.
You let him down to sit onto his bed as gently as you could and you felt he was about collapse again.
You instantly wrapped your arms around his shoulders and let him slump over your chest.
"Woa- Don't lay down just yet! I need to get your clothes off."
He only purred some low nonsense, as if to show his annoyance to you. Well, maybe he desperately wanted to sleep, but so did you.
"Don't 'brrr' at me, boy. You're the one who spilled wine all over your pants and top!" You scolded to deaf, or rather drunk ears. Not like he was listening to you, but still.
Huffing a bit, you took hold of the lace on his top and untied it, letting you slide the rest off his broad shoulders and back. It was much easier to slip the sleeves off afterwards, and you were almost proud of yourself.
"I'm gonna be such a good mom." You joked to yourself as you caringly held onto Leone's warm back and head to gently place him down on his bed before taking his shoes and pants off.
Once this was done and not without a pause to catch your breath, you went to the bathroom to grab a towel, dampening it in warm water before you came back to him and sat by his side. He had already fallen fast asleep, and was looking awfully adorable, if you were honest.
" 'Clumsy brat'," You chuckled with a whisper as you wiped the wine off his skin and the sweat and tears off his neck and chest. "That's what you always called me. Ironic."
You looked fondly over at him as you finished your self-assigned task, closing off by wiping his left hand. You thought over your options.
Maybe it was the fatigue blurring your moral code. Or maybe you were just blinded by this crazy thing called love. Perhaps he was just an enticing wizard who cast a spell on you with his lips. Whatever it was, you foolishly decided you would kiss him after you removed his make up, and so you did.
You gently removed what remained of his make up that wasn't washed out by the crying and the drinking. You sighed at your good job and leaned over, running your fingers delicately over his skin.
"This is probably wrong." You hesitated, questioning your choices, yet feeling brave. "But I think I can at least have that, right...? Pardon me for this, Leone."
You closed the distance between you both to press your lips ever-so-sweetly on his own, wanting to linger, but not quite feeling deserving enough either. It was short-lived but precious and tingly. You felt your heart flutter and you swore you also felt his hand twitch slightly next to you.
You sighed. You yearned for more. You wished you could just collapse and fall asleep by him. Your responsibilities thankfully got the best of you.
"I love you. Please love yourself too, we all want to see you better. I know I do. Depend on me sometimes too, okay?" You breathed out to him, secretely hoping he heard you in his dreams and maybe accepted your selfish and heartfelt request.
You were tired. You needed to sleep and you were afraid you'd act more and more foolishly if you stayed with him any longer.
You reluctantly leaned away from him and got up, making sure to tuck him in thoroughly inside the blankets before you left.
You'd leave a note to Bruno to not wake him up in the morning.
When Abbachio woke up in the morning, much later than he usually did, he was disappointed, yet not surprised to be struck with a splitting headache.
"Fuck..." He groaned, holding his heavy head in his hands, "Not again..."
He inhaled deeply only to realise he was strangely met by a sweet familiar scent mixed with the stinging wine he drowned himself in.
Out of doubt, he looked over the bedside table and found a water bottle and some aspirin as well as a small note.
He grabbed the note and squinted at it, trying to read it with his still hazy eyes.
'Water helps with hangover headaches. Tablets too, obviously :P . Take it easy, Bruno gave you the day off.'
Was that you? That was most definitely you, he thought. And that fruity scent on his face and hands must be you too. There were no doubt now.
It didn't take him long to put two and two together. He would have been much quicker-witted if he wasn't so hungover. He remembered you had a mission last night, you probably went home by then and helped him to bed out of sheer empathy, sweet as you were.
Abbachio sighed and rubbed his face. He was both ashamed and extremely grateful towards you. It must have been so draining to come take care of him after you risked your life out there.
God he felt like shit. Again, he was being a burden on the people he loved, all because of his selfish choices. But knowing you, you'd probably hate him thinking that of himself, and tell him you were fine with it and happy to help. You had such a kind heart.
"... How did she even get me upstairs...? This tiny dwarf."
He groaned and sat up, smoothing his fingers over his lips. He blushed at his own thoughts. He swore he dreamt of you kissing him as he was asleep, and the feeling was still pretty vivid.
But he couldn't be sure. Drunken dreams were weird sometimes.
Thinking of making it up to you, he took the medicine and downed it with water, his mind filled with thoughts of you only.
He deserved at least that.

morning person - nanami x fem reader (2.5k)
you just want to make his mornings pleasant.
(not sfw, cock-warming, dom/sub undertones, domestic, established relationship, afab reader with fem pronouns).
[a/n: haha me posting more self-indulgent nanami fic? u guessed it]
Nanami is more of a morning person than you, and you’ve adapted your routine to suit that.
He can be tired when he gets home from work – then, he bends world-weary with the weight of his profession and what he’s done in the day. You undo his tie for him and kiss his cheek and give him a half hour to decompress before the two of you work on dinner together (you had wanted to cook for him, at first; you’d learnt in the end that being able to cook for himself was something that Nanami cherished, and the two of you work in perfect tandem now).
But in the morning, his eyes are a little wider and brighter. His lips are a little more likely to curve than sag; his hands a little more . . . free. You’ve adapted your routine to roll out of bed before him so that you can make sure everything is perfect.
You spend a moment, always, to enjoy the sun-dappled light on his face – picking out sharp cheekbones, the sweep of his hair, the muscles in his broad shoulders that he keeps hidden beneath well-tailored shirts. And then you’re wrapping a robe about yourself, as quiet as a mouse; heading downstairs, fetching the morning paper where it lays on the kitsch welcome mat of your home. Standing before the cafetière, putting in a scoop of Nanami’s morning coffee--
You don’t notice the difference yourself, but Nanami does. He’s so exacting, so precise – it’s one of those things that you love about him. You flip through the newspaper as you wait for the coffee to prepare, folding it over to the financial section because you know that he’ll look for it straight away anyway.
“Good morning.” Nanami’s voice startles you from your task; you look up to see him, only half-dressed, his hair still sleep-tousled and his smile soft with that specific kind of gentleness you only ever see on people when they’ve had a pleasant night’s rest.
(It’s partly a smile of satisfaction, you know, and you also know exactly why he was so satisfied last night. Not that you need to be thinking of that kind of thing so early in the morning--)
Not thinking about that specific thing only makes the memory of being pinned beneath him all the more potent, and you bite your lip and squeeze your thighs together as you turn to pour the coffee into his cup proper.
“Good morning,” you reply, wondering if he can hear the slight rush of breath that you try to hide. “This’ll be ready in just a sec’.”
Nanami moves across the kitchen, wrapping an arm around your waist. You can’t help but relax into the warmth of him, his embrace as familiar as the back of your hand. His shirt is half buttoned, shirt-sleeves pushed up to his elbows (his jacket is draped over the coat rack, along with his harness and weapon).
“You look beautiful this morning,” he murmurs, dropping a kiss onto the top of your head. You go all over hot at the words, heady with the rush of being loved by him. “Almost as beautiful as you did last night.”
“And you don’t need me to tell you that you look handsome,” you say, still breathless. You put the cup of coffee by his chair, beside the paper, Nanami’s arms still wrapped around you. He’s not always affectionate like this, but you suppose something about the warm morning and the air today and last night’s escapades have made him more romantic than usual.
“Mm. Perhaps I’ll decide I like hearing you say it?” It’s lightly teasing, his hand stroking your bare thigh below where the hem of the robe hits. “I definitely like coming into the kitchen to you in this.”
He lets you go now, taking the handle of his cup to take a sip of the coffee as he sits, leaving you flustered and blushing. His face, damn him, is perfectly impassive – not the face of someone who was holding their lover mere moments ago. You bring up a hand to feel how warm you are.
“I’ll get dressed once you leave,” you say, and Nanami raises his eyes from the financial section just long enough to quirk an eyebrow.
“You don’t have to,” he says. “I like you best in nothing at all, anyway.”
“Kento—”
Your voice is soft, scandalised – and more than a little bit needy. There’s a thread within it of wanting that Nanami doesn’t miss for a moment. You’re still very close to him; close enough to see that there’s a peculiar stiffness at the front of his trousers.
Oh . . . had he . . . woken up, with a problem? One that you hadn’t noticed? You suppose that you’ve been trying to get out of bed early to impress him recently, to have everything ready – but you didn’t think that you were far gone enough to not notice something like that. A curl of heat makes itself known low in your belly. If you’d known that was an option this morning, perhaps you wouldn’t have rushed around so much.
You inch even closer to him, so your breast presses against his shoulder. He raises a hand to lick his thumb, flicking to the next page of his newspaper. You wonder if he can hear your beating heart – it certainly seems to be the only thing you can hear right now.
“Did I forget something?” He asks, mildly – but there it is. A touch of danger. He knows that you know.
“No,” you breathe. Your hand comes to rest on his shoulder – his skin is hot beneath the linen. Fingers stroke over the shoulder, to where the collar of the shirt isn’t buttoned, the hollow of his throat. He leans back under your skittish touch, a soft noise escaping his mouth.
“You’ll distract me,” he chides. He’s done a pretty good job of that on you already. He focuses his eyes on the paper again, as you guiltily move your hand away. You watch him swallow, the bob of his throat entrancing. Lip caught between your teeth, you sink to your knees. “What are you doing, sweetheart?”
The soft pet name makes you feel weak and warm inside, like your insides are all liquids. You raise a hand to rest on his knee, to move towards the zip of his work trousers. He sighs, clicking his tongue against his teeth as if he didn’t instigate this whole thing himself.
He says your name like a reprimand coated in hunger. He isn’t fooling anyone – not when the heat of his cock is pressing so snug. You shuffle slightly (glad that yours and his cleaning schedule means that the cool tile beneath your knees is spotless), pressing your cheek against his crotch, nuzzling into it.
You catch him by surprise, a hiss of breath through gritted teeth. You look up at him only to see that his eyes have focused sharp on you, his lips wet. You want to kiss him.
“Can I help you?” You ask, through a throat thick with arousal. It’s a marvel you can form words. When you woke up this morning, you did not expect to be so wet between your thighs and muddled in your brain before Nanami even left for work.
He puts the newspaper down on the kitchen table, relaxing his shoulders slightly, a sigh falling from his parted lips. One of his hands comes to rest gently on your head, fingers tangling in your hair. The heat of his palm (from his coffee, no doubt) resonates through you, mixing with the heat in your cheeks and your chest and your stomach to make you feel like you’re practically on fire with need.
“That depends,” he says. “on you.”
“You know I’ll do anything for you,” you say, and he shakes his head. His smile is almost sad, this time.
“That’s not something you should say to just anyone,” he murmurs. “That kind of pact has more power than you realise.”
“You’re not just anyone. Kento,” you repeat, a little more petulant, and he sighs again. “Please?”
“Please what?” A little hidden curve to his smile. He’s teasing you. He wants you to use your words.
“Please can I help you with this?” You rub your cheek against his crotch again, catching him off-guard – his cock stirs, twitching against the softness of your skin even between two layers. His hand flexes where it rests on your head.
He pretends to think about it. All the while, you’re wetting your lips, squirming, pressing your thighs together with ill-disguised hunger. If he says yes, and you use your mouth on him, you know that he’ll see to it you don’t get left without – Nanami Kento is an efficient man above all else – but that doesn’t help the fact that right now, your skin is prickling with the demand to be touched.
“Alright,” he says. Eagerly, you reach for the zip, tugging it down, leaning your mouth close-- “But not like that.”
“Hm?” You pause, tipping your head up, your eyes meeting his. He motions for you to stand up. Though you don’t quite understand, you do it anyway, watching with wide eyes as he frees his own cock from the confines of his underwear and trousers, giving it a cursory pump--
You can’t drag your eyes away from it. Nanami isn’t exactly the kind of man people see on the street and expect to be packing something like that, but . . . oh, you know from experience exactly how well it fills you up. The head of his cock is swollen pink, precome beading at the tip as he rubs his thumb over the slit. He sighs again, shuddering into his own grip.
“Are you just going to look at it?” He asks you, mildly, raising an eyebrow as you. His big hands settle around your upper thighs, pulling you just a bit closer. Heat radiates off of him; you think that if he pulled his hands away, you’d have handprints in the shape of him all over you. (You think you’d like that; looking down at yourself and knowing you belong to him utterly and completely).
One hand drags up, leaving trails of fire behind – pulling the hem of both your nightgown and your robe, higher and higher--
He clicks his tongue.
“Did you forget to put on underwear this morning?” He asks you, dragging a finger over your thigh and through the valley between your legs, your slick gathering on the tip of it and shining in the early morning light of the kitchen. “Or were you just hoping that something like this would happen?”
Your cheeks seem to get even hotter. You just didn’t see the point in putting it on before getting dressed, honestly – but as Nanami lifts his finger to his mouth, savouring the taste of your arousal just as much as he savours the taste of his morning coffee, you can’t make your brain work quickly enough to defend yourself.
And perhaps you sometimes think about him coming into the kitchen in a morning and fucking you hard over the kitchen table. When he looks so handsome half-awake and rumpled, who could really blame you for that?
He pats his knee.
“Come on,” he urges. “If you want to help me, there’s a seat at the table right here for you.”
You swallow but move forward, spreading your legs – straddling Nanami’s thighs. He adjusts his cock so it rubs across your folds, teasing your heated clit for just a moment before it catches on your entrance. Your hands cling to his shoulders, nails digging in as you ease yourself down past the plunging stiffness of him. You let out a shaky breath as he hilts within you, the stretch at once wonderful and aching so early in the morning and after last night’s vigorous activities.
You hadn’t realised how badly you could want somebody inside you until you’d met Nanami; you hadn’t realised how empty you could feel when they weren’t.
You adjust yourself, resting on the balls of your feet, ready to begin vigorously fucking yourself on Nanami’s cock, when the blond takes hold of your hip and forcibly presses you back down.
“Stay still,” he says, off-hand. He reaches around you to pick up his coffee, taking a slow sip of the dark liquid. You make a soft, confused noise, and he glances at you.
“You were being a brat,” he explains, as if the whole reason you were being a brat isn’t down to him. “I thought this would kill two birds with one stone.”
He picks up his newspaper with the other hand, holding it at such an angle that he can still read every line. Something about the way that he bends to hold the paper in particular makes his cock stroke a particular spot inside of you that has you seeing stars, and you bury your head in the crook of his neck, breathing deeply.
“It’s all about efficiency with you,” you mumble, and you think you hear him make a soft snort of laughter – you can’t quite tell, because he’s turning the page and his cock is rubbing against you in that way again, your mind bursting into stars. You’re disappointed when he stops, the little flame of heat inside you that was threatening to burst into a fire dampened down.
“Stop squirming,” he says, unconcerned by your mumbles. He smells like freshly baked bread and bourbon and crisply pressed laundry, and you breathe it in, dizzied by how much you love him. “I’m trying to concentrate.”
“C-can it be that interesting?” You ask him. “M-maybe you should tell me what you’re reading--”
Inside, you think that perhaps Nanami’s boring financial times pages will make the hunger in you, licking up at you like all-consuming flames, tamper down. He takes a deep breath, before speaking aloud some facts and figures that you don’t properly take in because all you can do is think about how deep his voice is, how it makes his whole body vibrate and rumble, how you like his voice most of all when he’s telling you what a good girl you are for him, how much he loves your body, how hot and tight and wet you are, how good you taste--
“You’re not listening, are you?”
The noise that comes out of you in reply is a whine. Nanami clicks his tongue again, stern, pretending to be disappointed in you though you just felt the twitch of his cock where it’s buried as deep inside you as it can possibly be.
“Be good,” he murmurs into your hair, pressing another kiss onto the top of your head. “And I’ll make sure that you get to come before I go to work.”
Your voice is wobbling.
“What if I’m . . . not good?”
Nanami pauses, weighing the question up. His voice is very soft when he finally replies, so deep that it makes your toes curl.
“You don’t really want to find out, do you?” He asks.
You kind of do.

A Dedicated Pig-Technoblade
#3 and 47 from this prompt list! Check out my masterlist here! This is in the DreamSMP Au. I
This is a Technoblade x GN reader!
So in this AU I am making it so that your cannon lives are shown on your left wrist. And if someone types something in chat or if someone joins the server, it appears as text on your right arm until you dismiss it! If you are confused feel free to ask me any questions!
Part Two! Part Three! Part Four!
Y/N finally meets the one that everyone has been walking on eggshells over.
Y/N’s POV
I will never forget the gasps, murmurs, and then tense silence that followed the notification that everyone received on their right arm. Technoblade had joined the SMP. I didn’t understand why it was such a big deal though. Of course I had heard the stories. The horrors that he had done. The fights he picked and won. The amount of blood that had been shed at his hands had earned him the title of “The Blood God”. But when push comes to shove, he’s just another mortal man.
Everyone was a little freaked out and on edge because of the new addition to the server. I mean, Schlatt had just banished Techno’s family, his two brothers, from the nation that they created and fought for. Everyone knew that family was everything to Techno and if there was one thing Techno would do anything for it was his family. He would literally go to hell and back if it meant that his brothers and his father were safe.
Finally after a few minutes of everyone holding their breath, I scoffed, rolled my eyes, and went on with my work, cleaning up the election decorations. All eyes turned to me “Y/N” Niki hissed, “Do you not understand what just happened? He could be anywhere” I let out a joyless laugh as I looked at my best friend, “You really think he’s going to come here right away? With nothing on him? With his brothers on the run? You think he’s going to worry about coming here, where it would be a 1 vs…” My eyes scanned the crowd doing a quick mental count, “15 plus? Come on Niki, think with that big brain of yours.” I claimed, a little annoyed, as I took down a banner.
Niki let out a shaky sigh but nodded and continued helping me. “You’re right,” I chuckled at her response and bumped her shoulder, “You know I always am”. Soon, everyone went back to their own tasks, forgetting the news we all had just received. ‘See Mr. Pig Man Blood God’ I silently thought to myself, ‘You’re not as scary as you may think’.
*Time skip*
A week and a half had gone by since Technoblade had joined the server and no one had seen him. Like I had predicted, he immediately had searched and met up with his brothers and had stayed clear of the main part of the server. That being said, I should have known that he would rear his pink head at some point…
When I first joined the server, I had made myself a small farm for food. Well of course everyone found out about it and wanted a part of it. So my small farm grew and grew. When Niki built her bakery, she needed a steady supply of well… supplies. Sugar, wheat, eggs, milk, and all that. I had plenty and I was more than happy to give her what she needed in exchange for baked goods. So once a week I would haul boxes of supplies across the SMP from my farm to her bakery.
Everyone was aware of this and so on these days everyone would stay out of my way. Which is why I was so surprised to slam into someone while carrying a box of eggs to the bakery.
I let out a huge gasp as the sound of eggs cracking filled my ears as I slammed into someone. The box fell out of my hands as raw egg covered my hands and body. “What the hell!” I cried out, looking up to yell at whoever had just crashed into me. I was momentarily stunned. There in the flesh, right in front of me, stood the Blood God himself, Technoblade. My surprise  didn’t last long as I remembered why I was angry in the first place.
“What the hell are you doing here? It’s bakery day, sure you didn’t know that, but you should have taken the hint not to be here when you didn’t see anyone walking this part of the Prime path!” I shouted at the pink haired man. Techno’s brown eyes widened as I verbally attacked him. “And now I’m covered in raw egg! This is not pleasant! It’s gross and sticky and cold and I do not enjoy it! You are sooooo lucky I have a change of clothes at the farm and that my chickens laid a lot of extra eggs this week or else you would have had to explain to dear sweet Niki why she wouldn’t be able to open her cute bakery this week.” I hissed out.
“I’m sorry,” Techno began with a raised eyebrow, “Do you not know who you’re talking to?” He questioned with a deep voice. I let out a loud scoff at the audacity of his question, “Of course I know who you are, Mr. Blood God,” I mocked. “So. You do know who I am and what I am capable of.” I scoffed at his smug words. “I said I did, didn’t I? And frankly I couldn’t care less about you and your reputation. You’re just a guy. A guy that has ruined my day because I now have egg all over me!” I complained, wiping my hands on my pants.
I reached down and began picking up the box and the eggs and egg shells that had fallen on the ground.“You know, I could kill you with no hesitation?” Techno claimed as he crouched down, moving his face close to mine. “I’ve done it before to many others. They blink and my sword has entered their chest. I’ve probably slaughtered more people than you’ve ever met in your life,” Techno mused, a smug smirk tugging on his lips.
I looked up from my box with a blank expression on my face, “Am I supposed to be scared of you? Is that supposed to scare me? Make me shake in my boots?” I questioned, my eyebrow raised. Techno’s smirk slowly slipped off his face. He quickly stood up and stared at me in shock, “Didn’t you hear me? I could kill you!” He explained. I rolled my eyes and also stood up. “So could another human. Literally anyone else. So could a fall from a huge height. So could a dedicated chicken. You’re not special.” I stated, turning on my heel and began walking back toward my farm.
“So you’re really not scared of me?” I heard Techno question as he began to jog to catch up to me. “Haven’t I made that clear? You may have scary stories and legends surrounding you, but when it comes right down to it, you’re a man. Well, part pig, part man, but a man and mortal all the same.” Techno let out a scoff, “Technoblade never dies,” he claimed. “But you could. You have three cannon lives just like the rest of us.” I concluded.
Techno silently followed me as I moved through the barn, replacing the eggs that had cracked when we collided. After I filled the box once more, I set it down before stepping into the bathroom I had built. “I’ll be right out. Don’t touch anything.” I commanded. Techno gave me a mock salute before looking around the barn once more. I closed the door and quickly cleaned up. I took off my egg covered clothes, washed my hands and body before putting on the clean clothes I kept here.
I found Techno where I left him. “You ready to go?” I questioned softly. His eyes trailed from my horses back to me as he gently nodded. I made my way back to the boxes before picking the egg box back up. “Is this going to?” Techno asked. I looked over and found him pointing at the last box needing to go to the bakery. “Yeah, but you don’t have to-” I was cut off by Techno picking up the box. “Let’s go” He said walking out the door. I let out a laugh before following him, being sure to close the door behind me.
The two of us made small talk about anything and everything on our way to the bakery. Techno told me all about Wilbur and Tommy’s constant squabbles and I told him all about everyone’s wariness ever since he joined the server. Techno helped me put everything away, which caused me to be done a lot sooner than I usually get done. The two of us left the bakery and made our way back outside. We began strolling the prime path and subconsciously came to a stop where the two of us met.
Our conversation died down and the two of us stood there for a moment, just staring at each other. I finally cleared my throat, “Thank you for helping me today. I really appreciate it.” I thanked, running a hand through my hair. Techno mirrored my actions with a shy smile on his face, “No problem. It’s the least I could do.” There was a slight pause before he spoke again, “Hey. Listen. I’m sorry for threatening you earlier. It’s just… Everyone I’ve ever met has been terrified of me and when you weren't… It really threw me for a loop. So… thanks. Thank you for giving me a chance.” I let out a giggle at his vulnerability, “It’s no problem…. Maybe when this is all over and you and your brothers are welcome back into L’Manberg, we could hang out more.” I offered. Techno gave me a soft smile and a gentle nod, “Yeah. I’d like that. A lot.”
“Techno!” A voice whisper shouted. The two of us jumped at the sudden interruption and turned to look at who had called the pink haired man’s name. It was Wilbur. “There you are! Where have you been?!” He questioned, marching up to the two of us. Techno made a gesture to me. Wilbur’s eyes shifted to me. I gave him a smile and a wave. “Hey Wilbur. It’s great to see you” Wilbur’s eyes softened as he gave me a smile, “Hey Y/N. It’s so good to see you too. We’ve got to go. Techno was supposed to be on a spy mission, but I see he got distracted…” I laughed at his words and nodded. “Something like that,” Techno claimed, rubbing the back of his head a blush.
“Well it was great to see you Wilbur. Tell Tommy I miss him and that I say to stop trying to decorate with things that aren’t his, yeah?” Wilbur gave me another soft smile and nod, “Will do Y/N. Tell Niki I miss her?” I returned his smile and nod. I then turned to Technoblade and gave him a smile as well, “It was lovely to meet you. I really hope this is over soon so I can show you my weapons collection.” Techno’s eyes lit up and he nodded. “It was amazing to meet you too Y/N. And I would love that. So much.” I giggled at his response and nodded. “I knew you would. Bye guys.” I gave them both one last smile before turning and headed back to my farm.
As I was leaving I overheard the next part of Techno and Wilbur’s conversation. “So… Y/N huh?” “Shut up.” “Who knows, when this thing is all over maybe you’ll get together and have pink haired, Y/E/C babies… Oh I would be the best uncle and-” “I’ll give you a five second headstart.” “Oh come on Techno-” “Five” “Please” “Four” “Tech-” “Three” “You know it’s-” “Two” “Oh come on” “One” “OH GOD! RUNNING!”
I let myself look over my shoulder at the two. Sure enough Wilbur was sprinting down the prime path as fast as he could, but Techno was right behind him. “Get over here!” Techno shouted after Wilbur. “NO!” I let myself giggle at the two’s antics. My eyes focused on the two for as long as I could, but soon enough the two were out of my view and my ear shot. Oh I can’t wait until this is all over.
There you go! I hope you enjoyed! And I hope I did the anon that requested this justice! If you did enjoy, be sure to leave a like! And maybe even a reblog or reply telling me what you liked about it! Until next time!

An Impostor In Love
Sequel to ‘Love For The Faceless’ (’Body Reveal’)
Corpse Husband x Reader (Female)
Warnings: Swearing (maybe)
Genre: Fluff
Summary: Rae can’t stay mad at her best friends forever. Them being absolutely adorable doesn’t help her ‘pissed off’ act either. Y/N’s outing Corpse like she’s a human lie detector. Corpse is gushing about her every second word that comes out of his mouth. And the rest of the lobby are getting one hell of a kick out of the Among Us romantic comedy - An Impostor In Love
Requested but, once again, not in a typical way. I honestly wasn’t expecting all the positive feedback I got for Love For The Faceless (Body Reveal). I was star-struck! You guys are so amazing I have no words to describe just how much I love you all! Thank you for everything! This story is for all of you 🥰🥰🥰
“Mr. and Mrs. ‘Totally not dating’ have entered the call!“ Sean announces when I hop into the Discord call to play Among Us with the usual gang. I hear Corpse’s laugh from down the hall, bringing a smile to my face.
We’ve gotten used to playing in this arrangement, a few rooms away from each other, ever since we moved in together - Corpse is in his recording room and I am in our shared bedroom. When one dies, they go in the other’s room to troll them. I’m usually the one dead, but that’s besides the point.
“Hi everyone!“ I say in my typical cheery tone before kicking it done a few notches, making it an octave deeper just to say: “Hi Rae.”
The whole lobby laughs, they all know what I’m trying to do here. Everyone’s aware this is the first time Rae is in the same call and lobby as Corpse and I after you-know-which incident. Sure, I’ve been poking sticks at her, waving a white flag and admitting I was wrong several times by now. Who knew my sweetheart best friend could act so cold? I know it’s a front. I know she’s fighting to stay mad. There’s a ton of pressure on her to finally forgive us, but she’s been holding up better than I would be if I were in her situation.
I honestly felt, and still feel, slightly guilty. I know best friends are supposed to tell each other everything. They are supposed to be the first ones to know whatever’s going on in each other’s lives. And I know I broke one of the main rules of friendships, but the decision wasn’t only mine to make. I’m sure she understands where I’m coming from, she’s just giving me and Corpse a hard time.
“Hello, Y/N.” She replies, her tone strictly formal.
“Progress, people! Progress!“ I say joyously, the smile turning into a grin
“Don’t worry, babe. We’ll get her eventually.“ Corpse reassures me as he’s done for the past week or two. He knew I wasn’t as unbothered by Rae’s anger towards me as I tried to appear - a pro and simultaneously a con of living with someone: they pick up on everything about you. You become as familiar to them as the back of their hand.
“I know, I know.“ I giggle, “She’ll cave.“
“Yeah, good luck with that.“ Rae has dropped the formal tone, now sounding like a stubborn child which is something I’m way more familiar with. I’ve dealt with her tantrums and childish outbursts - I don’t know which number it is, but it’s somewhere in the rule book of friendships - and I at least the approximate meaning behind it.
Ken puts an end to our friendly, stick-poking, sorta one-sided banter, ushering us to start the game. We all oblige, muting our mics and getting our heads in the game as though we’re about to enter an actual warzone with upmost stealth.
To my dismay, the screen flashes ‘Crewmate’. I head out of cafeteria to do my task in Weapons, staying weary of anyone within my proximity. Once I’m done, I head on down to Shields and complete my task there as well. I cringe when I’m done, knowing my last three tasks are in Electrical. Like, the fuck kind of luck do I have?
I make my way through the halls, running into Sykkuno and we circle around each other a few times to show we’re safe before we each continue our own way. I enter Electrical and.....oh Felix is dead. And oh lookie who’s right there...
I report the body before the impostor can and we all unmute our mics.
“Found him in Electrical.“ I say nonchalantly, “Didn’t see anyone in there though.“
“Anyone sus?“ Sean asks
We say our ‘no’s and ‘I don’t know’s and skip the vote. I’m smirking to myself as I head back down to Electrical. Walking in, I see the same person as before - Rae. I stop dead in my tracks and we just stare at each other for a few seconds before she comes towards me, circling me twice, bumping visors with me and venting out of the room.
“You’re welcome.“ I mumble, smiling widely.
I finish my tasks and leave Electrical just as Corpse enters our bedroom, giving me this tired-parent look like he’s half disappointed and half amused. “You just threw the game, didn’t you? Don’t lie.” He raises his eyebrows, fully adopting his parent role.
I giggle, shaking my head, sending him the briefest of glances before my eyes fixate on the screen in utter shock - Sean just killed me. Oh, for fuck’s sake...
“I was gonna come clean eventually, but I guess they won’t hear it from me now.“ I shrug, lifting my laptop and setting it aside so Corpse can join me on the bed. I snuggle up to him immediately, drawn to him as though he’s a human magnet.
“Who was it?“ He asks me, running his hands through my hair in a soothing manner.
I frown, pulling away from his chest to look him in the eyes, “Wait, how did you know I threw the game if you don’t know who I threw it for?”
He smirks, shrugging, “I didn’t know. You were smiling downright evilly when I came in so I just assumed.” He boops my nose. “And you ratted yourself out.”
I narrow my eyes at him, blowing some air out my nose - a gesture that has become my only way of showing anger towards him. I literally can’t even voice when I’m upset with him cause the grudge lasts like .5 seconds. I let him get away with more than he should.
Seeing as how I can’t argue to his statement, I lean back into his chest and pull out my phone to pass the time while I pretend to give him the silent treatment. Among my notifications is one for Rae’s stream. I smile and tap it, being taken to her YouTube channel and her live stream.
Just when the stream loads, Rae finds my dead body in Storage.
“Oh, nooooooo! Y/N!“ She wines as she goes over to it, “Sean must’ve killed her.” She reports the body and unmutes herself in game, “The body’s in Storage. I was on my way to call an emergency meeting cause I saw Sean vent in Security.”
“WHAT?!“ Sean exclaims in shock, “I didn’t! Rae’s lying. I swear I didn’t! I wasn’t even in Security!“
“Sean has been following me around this whole time. Just saying.“ Ken joins the discussion, throwing even more suspicion on Sean.
“We gotta vote someone.“ Charlie says, “Might as well be the most sus person at the moment.“
The voting results show all the little astronaut icons on Sean except his which is on Rae. Sean gets launched into space and the game continues. Having muted her mic in-game, Rae speaks up: “Y/N has been avenged. No one kills my best friend.”
I’m staring at my phone screen, eyes wide, eyebrows raised, a huge smile on my face. I take a glance at Corpse out of the corner of my eye and see he’s just as pleasantly surprised as I am.
“For those of you asking if I’m still mad at her and Corpse, the answer’s no. Actually, I think I was never mad. I was just in shock and a little hurt that I wasn’t made aware sooner.“ Rae says as she keeps wandering around the map, “Then I realized not talking to my best friend hurt more than the betrayal, you know. The only reason I still pretend is because it’s really funny to see her trying to soften me up.“ She laughs, “But yeah. I don’t know what I’d do without her or Corpse in my life. I love them both and love them even more together. My best friends are dating, I still can’t wrap my brain around that! They are sooo cute, you guys! I wish they posted more content of them together. I’m literally simping over their relationship! But shh, don’t tell em I said that.”
I laugh, overjoyed by what I just heard. I knew she couldn’t still be mad at us. I know she has every right to be, but she’s too sweet to actually hold a grudge against anyone ever.
I suddenly want nothing more than to give her an enormous hug and hold onto her for as long as she’d let me. I just now realize how lonely it feels to have never hugged your best friend because you haven’t hung out together in person. The only reason Rae now knows what I look like is because I sent her a full body picture of myself as one of my sad attempts to get her to start talking to us again. We have never met in person, and that thought kills me. It makes me impatient for this pandemic to end even more than before.
“Told you there was nothing to worry about.“ Corpse’s arms tighten their hold on my body, pulling me even closer which I didn’t know was possible. The most fulfilling and endearing feeling - being in the arms of a loved one. Being held so close and so tightly that you feel like you’re untouchable. Like you two can’t be hurt by anything in the world as long as you have each other.
“Yeah, you were right.“ I sigh in content, putting my phone down and covering his hands with mine, our rings clinking quietly when they touch.
“As usual...“ he whispers theatrically with his lips against my hair.
I playfully roll my eyes, catching glimpse of the screen showing Rae’s demise.
“Oh no, they caught her.“ I say, a bit disappointed she didn’t win and more than a bit responsible for her defeat.
I somehow manage to convince myself to get untangled from Corpse’s embrace and join the new round. I hear him groan as I settle my computer in my lap, unmuting my mic.
“See ya, kitten.“ Corpse kisses my temple, standing up.
“Oh my God, you two are too cute.“ Poki says sweetly, having heard what Corpse said to me.
“SIMP!“ Sean and Felix shout in unison causing the whole lobby to laugh. Corpse is as red as Rae’s avatar as he exists our room, running down the hallway.
“Ok, ok, ok. Hold on. I have to address this. I really hadn’t stepped foot in Security, let alone vented in there. Rae why were you lying?“ Sean’s voice cuts through the teasing directed towards Corpse and I.
“While we’re on that topic...“ Felix speaks up as well, making me break out in a nervous sweat, “Y/N, you literally saw Rae kill me, but you said you didn’t see anyone.“ He laughs, “Not gonna lie, I was a bit pissed.“
The call falls silent for about five seconds until Rae and I speak simultaneously.
“I was avenging Y/N.“
“I was helping Rae.“
Silence follows our statements, not for long though, as our friends break out in amused laughter.
“Fuck’s sake, you two make a good team.“ Sean says through genuine laughter which Rae and I soon join him in.
Felix and Sean and the rest of the lobby forgive us for throwing the game from both the crewmate and impostor’s side and we move onto another round. This time I have only one task in Electrical which I leave for last as always. I don’t feel like dying right from the get-go. I start by doing the card swipe in Admin and then the fuel task in Storage. As I make my way to Upper Engine, Corpse leaves Electrical, falling in step with me. I immediately get nervous, but still make my way to where I’m supposed to go, hoping he’d go his own way eventually.
I stay wary of my boyfriend as I do my task, praying he won’t take my head off. When the task is finished, I find I’m trapped in the room with the doors shut. And Corpse right there. With every right and opportunity to kill me and vent. No one would know. No one saw us.
That nervous sweat is back.
I’m counting my last seconds of being alive.
And it happens...
A body is reported
“Oh than you so so so much! Corpse was gonna kill me in Upper Engine!“ I don’t let the person who reported the body speak, thanking them for my survival. “I was sure I was a goner.“
“Babe, come on now. You know I wouldn’t kill you even if I was an impostor. I love you too much.“ Corpse hurries to defend himself, “I’m following you around to keep you safe.“
I can tell he’s capping, but I have no concrete proof. He knows I’m onto him. His best bet is having me killed by the other impostor. He might have been capping the majority of his defense, but I know he won’t kill me.
“I’ll vote for myself because of that one.“ I mumble
The vote is skipped except the one vote I placed on myself and the round continues. I follow Corpse around the whole time, making sure he’s completing tasks - not that I can be 100% certain he’s actually completing them.
All is well until we walk into Admin and find Felix there, uploading data. Corpse, dead-ass, goes up to him and kills him, reporting the body right afterwards.
“IT’S CORPSE!“ I don’t give him a chance to start his brainwashing of the rest of the players. “Felix, this is my redemption for leaving your death unavenged last round.“
“Yeah, it’s me.“ Corpse laughs, that adorable laugh of his melting me despite the need to stay strong and carry out my argument, “Just vote me out so I can go troll Y/N.“
“Sounds like a plan to me.“ Ken says, the remainder of the crewmates, and the impostor probably, agreeing with him.
The votes are put in, all on Corpse obviously, and he is sent off into space. Not even five seconds later I hear his footsteps approaching.
I look up when he pops his head in the room and says, “I have come to annoy you to death with my love for you.”
I can’t help but laugh, shaking my head. The things this man does to me are insane. It’s insane that I let him.
It’s amazing, really. We’re amazing.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I pat the spot on the bed next to me, “I’ll allow it. But only cause I love you too.”

A Period Drama
Summary: When that time of the month hits, Y/n wants nothing more than to curl up in bed and forget about the world. Lucky for her, Dean has other plans.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader
Word Count: 2.1K+
Warnings: Language, discussion of menstrual cycle
Author’s Note: I guess I'm emotional this cycle, who knew? Anyway, I wrote this because I wanted to die the other day, and imagining Dean's cuddles was the only way for me to get through it. This is a work of self-indulgence and therefore the Reader is a little less non-descript than I usually try to write, but that's what these things are for! Hope this helps my fellow menstruating people lie it did me xoxo Alex

A nagging sensation tugged on her strings of consciousness, bringing the sleeping huntress back to the world of the living. Her mind fought against waking, knowing not nearly enough time had passed since she had retreated to her room the previous evening. As the ache deep in her abdomen became more obvious, she stopped fighting and opened her eyes to the darkness of her room.
“Fuck,” she groaned as she tossed the covers from her body, instantly missing the heat they provided in the recess of the bunker. Y/n rolled from the bed and stood, the action occurring too quickly and the huntress felt the familiar rush between her legs. She cursed herself as she bounded off to the bathroom on the opposite end of the hallway. The socks on her feet muffled her hurried steps as she passed the boys’ rooms.
Once inside, she went straight for the showers and turned the hot water all the way up. Steam enveloped the space as she stripped her soiled panties and old t-shirt from her body. She let the bathroom turn into a makeshift sauna as she rinsed the blood from her undergarments before finally stepping into the boiling shower.
It was unclear how long she stood under the water, searing her flesh and scrubbing away the metaphorical grime, all she knew was the relentless heat was managing to ease the ache from her angry uterus. The tentative knock on the bathroom door snapped her back from the silent reverie she had been indulging in, and Y/n noted how the water had gone almost cold. It was likely she had been in there long enough for Sam to have taken his morning run and if her own body wasn’t attacking itself, she might have felt guilty about using up all the bunker’s hot water.
When she walked out in just a towel, her dirty pajamas rolled into a ball in her arms, she was met with a confused younger Winchester. All she could mutter was a weak ‘sorry’ before she breezed past him and back to her room. The huntress wrapped herself into a pair of sweats and a clean tee, braided her hair out of her face, swallowed a few pain killers, and crawled back under her covers. She thanked whatever higher power had made sure they were hunt-free for the foreseeable future so she could spend the day curled up in a ball. The pills kicked in quick enough to allow her to easily slip back into a blissful sleep.
****
It was nearing one in the afternoon when Dean made his way back inside the bunker, his hands covered in grease and oil from his work tuning up the Impala. He was wiping his hands on an equally dirty towel as he walked into the kitchen to find his little brother making himself a lunch.
“Please tell me that is not your veggie bacon?” Dean wrinkled his nose as he watched Sam putting together a BLT, the various ingredients strewn about the island.
“Fine, then I won’t tell you,” Sam didn’t bother to look up from his task to answer his brother. The look of disgust only depended on Dean’s face as he moved around his sibling to wash his hands in the sink.
The older hunter glanced over his shoulder as the sound of shuffling footsteps grew louder, his gaze landing on a disheveled Y/n. The sweats that hung from her body were wrinkled and she had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. There were lines across the left side of her face, indicating she had been sleeping recently. Worry instantly flooded his system as it was unlike their hunting partner to sleep this late unless she was ill.
“Sam, what did you do with my heating pad?” her voice was coarse as she didn’t even bother with pleasantries. No ‘hello’, no ‘ how are you’, just straight to whatever business she had in with the younger Winchester.
“Uh, I’m pretty sure it’s in the linen closet in the bathroom?” Sam answered, completely unperturbed by her callousness.
“So you put my heating pad in the bathroom,” Y/n rolled her eyes and Sam could only offer her a bewildered nod. “What is with you guys and not being able to put shit back where you found it?” The huntress turned on her heel, not waiting for a response before heading to retrieve the item she was seeking.
Sam looked over his shoulder at his older brother, his brows knit together in the middle of his forehead. “What the hell was that?”
“What’s the one thing Y/n uses her heating pad for?” Dean’s lips cured up on one side as he watched the look of realization flash across his brother’s features. The oldest Winchester dried his hands before peeking in the fridge and a few cupboards. “Looks like she could use a supply run. You need anything?”
“Nah, I’m just going to retreat to my room and pretend like I don’t exist for the rest of the day,” Sam picked up the plate that held his lunch and scurried off, leaving a chuckling Dean behind.
****
The only light filling her room came from the laptop that was perched in her lap, playing some television show she had stopped paying attention to a while ago, and the filtered light from the hall through the slats in her door. The huntress was still curled into a ball under her covers, attempting to use what little bit of heat from her computer she could muster as she had been unsuccessful in located her heating pad. She felt bad for ripping into Sam about it, but the truth was he had misplaced her belongings, something that she found happened often around the Winchesters, and she was over it today. Pain tended to make her grumpy, as it did most people, and she wasn’t going to apologize for being pissed at their carelessness.
A soft rapping against her door had her pausing the show as she shoved the device aside. The guest didn’t wait for a response before they pushed the door open, bringing with them a flood of light. Y/n cringed at the sudden change, hiding her face behind her hand.
“Sorry, sweetheart,” Dean’s familiar chuckle sounded before the click of the latch indicated he had closed the door behind him. “I come bearing gifts.”
“What?” she was confused by his words as she dropped her hand and allowed her eyes to adjust back to the relative darkness.
“Your water bottle, half ice, half water,” he set the green canteen on her bedside table. “The heating pad Sammy somehow managed to lose behind the washing machine,” Dean handed her the light green pad folded neatly with the cord sitting on top. Y/n sighed a breath of relief as the eldest Winchester continued. “And a sharable size bag of dark chocolate peanut M&M’s.”
“Dean,” Y/n caught the purple bag as he tossed it her way, biting back a gleeful moan. “I fucking love you.” She unceremoniously tore into the bag and popped a couple of the chocolate candies into her mouth, missing the rush of blood on the Winchester’s cheeks.
“And finally,” he mimicked a drum roll with his mouth and procured a box from his arms, placing it on her bedside table. The woman frowned, unable to make out the object at first in the darkness.
“You bought me tampons? How,” she trailed off, not only awestruck by the hunter’s gesture but amazed at his attention to detail as she read the label.
“There is only one thing you need your heating pad for,” he remarked as he took the referenced object back to plug it into an outlet for her. “Also, you never snap at Sammy.”
“But how did you know what kind to buy?”
“Kind of hard not to when you have a box of them stashed away in Baby’s trunk,” Dean countered as he perched himself on the edge of her bed.
“Hey, those are for emergencies. Besides, I’m sure Baby understands.”
“I’m sure she does.”
Y/n chewed on the inside of her cheek as she fiddled with the bag of candy in her lap, the kindness shown by Dean throwing her off. She offered the open bag to her hunting partner, who snatched a handful for himself with a grin.
“Thank you, Dean, seriously. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me,” her voice was low as the admittance slipped past her lips. “Want to watch some Scooby-Doo with me? You know, if you aren’t busy or anything?”
“I’d love to, sweetheart,” Dean winked at her, that shit-eating grin never leaving his face even as he stood and shucked off his jacket and boots so he could climb into the bed next to her. “Who could pass up Daphne?”
The huntress sat back against the headboard with a roll of her eyes and switched the streaming show on her laptop before unfolding her already warmed heating pad and laid it across her lower abdomen. She moved the laptop at the end of the bed so they could both see it and set the bag of M&M’s between her and Dean to share.
The two settled into the cartoon, laughing in unison at the ridiculous parts and commenting on how the Scooby gang couldn’t have handled that monster had it been real. Three episodes passed by before a shredding cramp ripped through her stomach, the shock of it enough that she was unable to hide the groan as she had been so far.
“You okay?” Dean shifted in his spot next to her, his head turning from the kids’ show to his friend beside him.
“No, I’m not okay. It feels like my internal organs are attempting to exit my body,” she snapped, instantly regretting it when Dean subtly recoiled. “Shit, I’m sorry. I--I didn’t mean…” Y/n was cut off as the pain returned just as intense as it had been moments ago, causing her to roll onto her side and into a ball, clutching the heat of the pad against her body like a lifeline.
“Alright,” Dean huffed before moving the candy and laptop from the bed. Y/n could hear the hunter shift behind her, but her eyes were clamped shut as she tried to breathe through the pain like she was experiencing the contractions of labor of something. She felt the hard lines of his body lock around the curves of her own and his arm snake around her abdomen. His hand rested over hers as he pulled her tight against him, putting more pressure than she had been able to muster against her lower belly. “I’ve got you.”
The heat of his body on one side and the pad against her stomach, combined with the force he was exerting on her uterus, finally allowed her to relax fully for the first time since she had awoken that morning. She never wanted to leave this moment, utterly content in the peace that his presence in her bed brought her. The idea scared her a little, but she figured that was a problem for another day. Now she chose to just live in this moment for as long as he would let her.
“Why?” she muttered into the dark space after she was sure he had fallen asleep as his grip had relented a touch and his breathing evened out, hoping he wouldn’t answer but knowing she had to ask.
“Cause I wanted to,” his voice was gruff, indicating he had probably been on the cusp of falling asleep when she spoke up. “I hate seeing you like this. Figured it was the least I could do.”
“Dean Winchester, are you going soft on me?” she quirked up one corner of her lips, unable to fight the giddiness his words instilled in her chest.
“Sweetheart, there is nothing soft about me when I’m around you,” he chuckled, earning himself an elbow to the gut. He grunted and the two of them fell into a fit of laughter.
“I’m serious.”
“So am I.” The hunter was ready for her arm this time, his hand moving to wrap around her forearm and pull it into him so as to trap her even tighter than before in his embrace. Y/n struggled against his hold, giggling like an idiot as the two wrestled in the bed a moment before she relented that he was much stronger than she.
“Honestly,” Dean placed a gentle kiss to her shoulder once she had settled, only encouraging her to melt further into his arms. “I’d do anything to make you smile, Y/n.”
“Well, then mission accomplished, Winchester,” she turned her head to flash him a genuine smile to which he reciprocated before planting his pillow-soft lips against hers.

Yoongi had fucked up.
He’d misread the massive man’s approach, tracking him in one direction when the guy was actually headed in another.  That’s how the asshole managed to catch Yoongi off guard with one meaty fist to the face.
It didn’t matter that it was hundreds of pounds of fat -- not muscle -- behind that punch.  It was wielding more than enough momentum to blow up the side of Yoongi’s face like a bomb.
That’s the night he landed in the ER at Songdo at nearly two in the morning, pressing gauze to his bleeding face.
That’s the night he found himself chuckling inside an empty exam room, reading triage paperwork that made him sound like some kind of war hero instead of just an idiot who got caught looking the wrong way.
That’s the night he met you.
“Rough evening, Mister Yun?”
Yoongi had looked up from the floor just as you’d breezed into the room, tablet in hand.  That moment marked the second time he’d been caught off guard that night.
“That looks like it hurts,” you’d murmured sympathetically, eyes raking over the bloody mess on his face.  Your gaze was clinical -- professional -- as you assessed his grossly swollen eye and the half dozen bleeding cuts that surrounded it.
But then you’d stopped looking at him -- and stepped back to really look at him.
Yoongi had taken one look at your enormous, dark eyes and your soft, sweet face and he was dumbstruck.  He’d blinked back at you with the only eye that could still move.
“You’re a doctor?”
“Nope,” you’d replied casually, turning to reach for a pair of latex gloves. “I’m a janitor. But I’ve always wanted to give this medicine thing a try. You don’t mind, right?”
Your eyes had sparkled then, bright with humor -- and Yoongi couldn’t help but grin despite the pain pulsing from the left side of his face.
“Here’s the deal, Mister Yun,” you’d said, pulling on your gloves.  “I’m a resident.  And I’m more than qualified to handle the -- situation -- on your face, but if you feel more comfortable waiting for the attending, I’m happy to step back.  Good luck seeing him before sunrise, though.”
“Nah,” Yoongi had chuckled.  “I think I’ll take my chances with you.”
“Good call.”
You’d leaned in close after that, gloved fingers firm under his chin as you turned his face from side to side.  You’d smelled fucking amazing.  The light, fresh scent that lingered on your skin sure as hell beat the disinfectant odor in this place.
“What happened to you tonight, Mister Yun?”
“It’s a funny story, actually.”
“Oh, great,” you’d said dryly.  “‘Cause it turns out, I love funny stories.”
Yoongi had flinched when you’d peeled the gauze back, exposing the angry wounds to the air.  But he’d forced himself to sit dutifully still as you got to work cleaning the caked blood off his face and eye.
“Thing is, I work for the circus,” he’d started, hissing under his breath when you swiped across an open cut above his eye.  “One of the elephants got rowdy while we were practicing a number tonight and just kicked me right in the face.”
You’d stopped dabbing at his eye then, one brow raised and a cynical slant to your mouth.
Yoongi liked that you knew he was full of shit right away.
He liked that you’d played along anyway.
“God, I hate when that happens,” you’d said with feigned outrage, cutting your eyes at him as you dropped a piece of bloody gauze on the tray at his side.
“I know, right?”
That’s when Yoongi had won a real smile from you, wide and genuine.  That's when Yoongi made the mistake of looking at you for just a moment too long.
He knew it by the way your smile fell away as you cleared your throat and turned your focus back to his damaged face.
“Well, I have good news for you Mister Yun,” you’d said after a while, eyes scanning the freshly cleaned wounds.  You’d run your gloved fingers gently over one particularly deep slash over his eye and Yoongi felt a shudder run up his back.  “I’m pretty sure you’re going to live.”
“Well, that is good news.”
There was that smile again.
It seemed like no time at all before you had him all patched up -- cuts sanitized and sealed with skin adhesive; swollen eye cleaned and medicated.  Yoongi had felt a strange kind of disappointment as he’d watched you gather your supplies, pull your gloves off and drop them in the trash can near the door.
“You’re all set, Mister Yun,” you’d murmured. “Watch out for those elephants, okay? I’d hate for them to ruin a perfectly nice face.”
Then you were gone.
***************************
Thing is -- Kim Namjoon is a rules guy.
It doesn’t matter that he runs a criminal organization -- or that the men in his employ are gangsters in custom ties and suits.  He expects dirty work done clean because that’s what sets the Gajog apart.
Rotate hospitals.  Use fake names.  Pay in cash.
All of those protocols are in place to keep any one of the Gajog from drawing unwanted attention.  Truthfully, Namjoon’s operations usually run so neatly his men rarely have to seek treatment for anything beyond the occasional black eye or broken bone.  That’s why he’d rather trust his men to legitimate doctors in legitimate hospitals than hand them over to some back-alley hack.
Thing is -- shit has gotten a lot more heated of late.
An audit of the Gajog books has turned up millions in missing won, stolen over time by street-level guys all over the city.  Yoongi and Hoseok are the ones on the front lines, tasked with confronting those men -- getting them to pay and getting them back in line.
Sometimes they play ball.  Sometimes they don’t.
Tonight is one of those nights.
Yoongi knew the moment they arrived at the crumbling warehouse in the Nowon district that shit was probably going to get messy.  Their contact was fucked up -- sloppy drunk -- and belligerent from the jump.
After that, everything was a blur.
At some point during the scuffle, Yoongi heard his hand crunch under the heavy weight of the man’s steel-toed boot. The pain was still flaring hot from his knuckles when Hoseok finally took the guy down.
Right now Yoongi should be at Asan or Gachon or any of the other half-dozen hospitals in the city.  He should have dragged his tired ass and bloody hand across town because those are the rules.
But instead -- for the second time in a month -- he’s sitting under the sickly fluorescent lights in an empty exam room at Songdo at nearly three in the morning.
Hoping to see you.
*************************
Tumblr media
Yoongi is gingerly flexing his aching fingers when a light knock sounds at the door.
It was a long shot that you’d be here tonight -- and an even longer shot that you’d be the one treating him. But when the door to the exam room opens, it’s you on the other side.
Yoongi’s pulse picks up in response.
“Sorry to keep you waiting tonight Mister -- ”  you stop dead in your tracks, eyes wide on his before darting back down the tablet in your hand.  You scan the screen slowly then look back up, gaze critical.
“ -- Mister Woo.”
“Yeah, sure,” Yoongi replies casually.  “It’s no problem.”
You approach him slowly then, disbelief etched into your delicate features and Yoongi takes in every detail.
It’s like he’d forgotten how pretty you are since the last time he saw you.
You’re nothing like the flashy women who like to hang around the usual Gajog haunts.  You’re the kind of pretty that doesn’t cost hundreds of thousands of won a month to maintain.  The kind of pretty that doesn’t come off at the end of the night.
Yoongi swallows thickly as you eye him, lips parted like you’re about to fire off a hundred different questions.  But you don’t.
You play along.
Again.
“Right.  Let’s get to it then, Mister Woo,” you say carefully, slipping on your gloves.  “What happened to your hand?”
“Well, you see, I’m a hot air balloon operator.”
His mouth quirks into a smile and your eyes flash in response.
“Wind was nuts today and the basket came down on my hand.  I think I might have broken something.”
“Hmm,” you murmur.  “Hot air balloon operator, huh?”
Yoongi winces when you take his hand between your gloved ones, gently applying pressure to each knuckle.
“Yeah.”
“That’s an interesting way to make a living, Mister Woo.”
Yoongi chokes down a groan when you press against one particularly sore spot.  You back off the pressure, turning to make a note on your chart.
“Well, I’m an interesting guy,” he whispers.
You look up at him then, dark eyes focused and intense.
“That you are.”
You’re looking at Yoongi like you can see inside him and the scrutiny makes him squirm.  He lowers his eyes to the floor and keeps quiet while you clean his hand and apply ointment to his cuts.
“Mister Woo, it looks like most of these are surface abrasions, but the knuckles concern me.  I’m going to have to send you for an X-ray.”
“Yeah, okay.  It hurts like hell.”
“I bet it does,” you say quietly, typing into your tablet.  “Someone is going to come and take you back when they’re ready.  I have to go check on some other patients, but I’ll be back when we have some images to go over.”
“Sure,” Yoongi breathes.
You take another long look at him before standing to leave and Yoongi wonders for a moment if he’s made a mistake. Maybe he’s misread you like he misread that brawler who caught him with the nasty punch all those weeks ago.
You could be off to flag a security guard.  Or leaving to call the police.
He really should have just followed protocol.
Yoongi sits in the quiet of that exam room waiting -- ready -- for trouble that never comes.  Because when a knock finally sounds at the door, it’s not the Korean National Police.
It’s the X-ray technician.
Maybe he didn’t misread you after all.
*********************
It takes hours for you to come back.
“Mixed news tonight, Mister Woo,” you say upon your return.  “You have hairline fractures in three of your knuckles, which explains the pain.  Unfortunately, that means I’m not going to be able to do much for you beyond wrapping your hand.”
Yoongi nods.  “Got it.”
“And you should probably lay off the ballooning for a while,” you say under your breath as you lay out your bandages.  “Just a suggestion.”
“Good idea,” Yoongi chuckles.  “Safety first.”
You fix him with another one of those long, indecipherable looks before getting to work on his hand.  But you don’t say anything and the longer the silence stretches on, the antsier Yoongi feels.
“So…” he exhales, clearing his throat, “... you like milkshakes?”
“Everyone likes milkshakes,” you return evenly.  You don’t take your eyes off his hand or the flexible material you’re carefully wrapping around his sore knuckles.
“Lactose intolerant people don’t like milkshakes.”
“Lactose intolerant people like milkshakes as much as the rest of us,” you argue.  “They just can’t tolerate them.”
“What are you, some kind of doctor?”
Your lips quirk with the threat of a laugh you manage to suppress but Yoongi catches the expression before it disappears.  You seem to relax after that.  He does, too.
“Dijeoteu has the best milkshakes in the city.  Ever been there?”
“Can’t say that I have,” you admit, taping off a bandage.
“It’s not far from here.  Open twenty-four hours.  I hang out there sometimes.”
“So you’re a milkshake-drinking hot-air balloon enthusiast,” you murmur, inspecting your handiwork closely.  “Anything else I should know about you, Mister Woo?’
Yoongi scratches the back of his neck with his free hand.
“Not really.  That about covers it.”
You hum thoughtfully under your breath as you finish wrapping the bruised knuckles.
“All done.  How does it feel?”
“Better,” Yoongi admits.  “Thanks.”
You gaze at him then, thoughtful -- expression soft with something that looks almost like concern.  Yoongi drops his gaze down to his bandaged hand.
This is the part where you’ve finished -- the part where you leave.
This is the part where he should say something to you but he has no idea what or how.
“I would say come back soon, but this is a hospital and that seems wildly inappropriate,” you announce, voice breaking clear through his stupor.
You turn back to him just as you’re walking towards the door, and for a moment Yoongi thinks you’re going to give in and ask him any one of the dozens of questions that must be swirling around your mind.
But you don’t.
“Try to take care of that hand, Mister Woo.”
Yoongi nods.
“Thanks, Doc.”

YOU
Doctor Lee is on his Houdini shit tonight, apparently.
The ER is packed -- waiting room crowded with crabby patients -- and you are, once again, running yourself ragged to get to every last one.  Lee is, once again, nowhere to be found.
“Page him again,” you call out as you pass the charge nurse outside an exam room.
A quick scan of your tablet confirms the toddler behind this magic door has been vomiting all night.  You shut your eyes and wish a slow, violent death on your absent attending.  Vomit is the single worst phenomenon in medicine.
“I’ve paged him three times,” Nurse Ko calls back.
“Page him again,” you repeat, forcing a smile and pushing into the room.
Thirty minutes and one change of scrubs later you are checking charts on the next patient in line.  You pat the pocket of your new scrubs and realize you’ve left a half-eaten energy bar around here somewhere.
No chance you’ll get that back.
Lee picks this moment to reappear, back from doing God knows what.  He strolls down the hallway like a man with nothing on his to-do list.
“You paged for me?” he inquires casually.
“A few times, actually,” you mutter.  “I’m getting killed out here.”
“Relax,” Lee purrs, condescension dripping from his tone.  “We’ll get it done.”
You bite the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from firing back the half-dozen nasty responses that spring to mind. There is no we when it comes to Doctor Lee.  He’s always been flighty and inconsistent, but these days he’s practically a missing person.  You’re still not sure how hospital management hasn’t figured out that he’s making his resident run the overnight ER.
“There’s a guy down the hall who says he swallowed a magnet,” you say, waving a hand in that direction.  “If you can pick him up I can get to this head trauma.”
Lee sighs like it’s a major inconvenience that you’ve asked him to do his job.
“Yeah, I’ll grab it.”
***********************
It’s nearly four in the morning by the time you have a chance to catch your breath.
You walk out to scan the waiting area and to your relief, there are only a handful of patients yet to be seen.  Then your eyes land on one young man -- slumped into a chair in an oversized coat, hat pulled low over his eyes.
You freeze.
The man in the chair must feel your stare from across the room because he straightens, giving you a better look at the face hidden under the brim of his hat.  You let go of a breath you don’t realize you’ve been holding.
It’s not him.
It’s not the mysterious man with the fake names and the bogus stories and the insanely handsome face. You shake your head as you look back down at your tablet, silently chastising yourself for even entertaining the thought.
You shouldn’t still be thinking about this guy and you know it.
But it’s driving you nuts that you can’t figure him out.
He’s never tried to play you for pills and that seems to be the only thing people lie about these days. But if his problem isn’t drugs it’s certainly something because no one lands in the hospital that many times, with that many phoney stories unless they’re up to no good.
So you ignore the nonsensical disappointment you feel when the guy in that chair is not the guy.
Because deep down you know he’s either in trouble -- or he is trouble.
***********************
Your pager goes off for a second time and you silence the alert, tossing it onto a nearby blanket.
It’s not like you’re hiding out in here -- not really.
It’s just that you’ve already had one patient cough up blood on your sneakers and another swing at you when you refused to give him narcotics, so this night is off to a spectacularly bad start.
Besides, Doctor Lee could use a taste of his own medicine.
This week has been the worst, by far.  You’ve been seeing at least three patients to his every one and you’re exhausted.  If there’s any justice, he’s walking into the exam room where the infant with explosive diarrhea is waiting to be seen -- you check your watch -- right about now.
The door to the linen closet cracks open and you groan, hiding your face in your hands.
“What, you thought I didn’t know about your little hiding place?”  Nurse Ko asks with a grin.  “I find everyone’s hiding place, eventually.”
“Haven’t found Lee’s yet,” you gripe.
“Yeah, well he’s sneakier,” she laughs.  “Here, I brought you something.”
She tosses a granola bar at you and it lands in your lap.
“Thanks,” you sigh, ripping it open.  You take a bite and Ko leans against the doorframe.
“I don’t page you for my health, you know.”
“I know,” you whine around a mouthful of dried oats.  “I just needed five minutes.”
“Well, I’ve got a guy out here who says he’ll only see you.  Doesn’t want Doctor Lee and says he’ll wait as long as it takes.”
A piece of the granola bar lodges in your throat and you cough around it, spluttering while Ko looks on, amused.  She waits for you to collect yourself.
“Is he -- ”
“ -- hot? Yes. Very,” Ko smiles.
Your cheeks flame with embarrassment at both the observation and the fact that it’s coming from a woman in her sixties.
“I was going to say young,” you grumble, standing and dusting your hands off with a towel.
“That, too.  Come to think of it, I know I’ve seen him here before.  You have some kind of admirer, jagiya?”
You flush.
**************************
Tumblr media
“Good evening, Mister Kim.”
You hope the air of nonchalance you affect when you enter the exam room is enough to mask your jitters.
Your mystery patient looks back at you with those dark eyes and a half-smirk that makes your heart trip in your chest.  You take a steadying breath as you look down at your tablet.
Get it together, girl.
“What brings you in tonight?” you inquire lightly.  “Sword-swallowing accident?  Lose a fist fight with a bear?”
Your mysterious patient chuckles under his breath.
“Where would you get a couple of outlandish ideas like that, Doc?”
You look up at him just as the teasing smirk on his face becomes a full smile and heat blooms in your chest and face.  You force yourself to tear your gaze away.
“I dislocated my shoulder.  Did you know I work air traffic control at Incheon?”
You shake your head with amused weariness as you make notes on your tablet.
“Crazy night.  One of the planes nearly slid off the runway and I threw my shoulder out trying to get it back on track.”
“Did you save it?”
“Saved it and all 227 people on board.”
“Bravo, Mister Kim.”
“Just doing my job,” he shrugs.
You set your tablet down on the exam table with a thump, eyeing him as you reach for a pair of gloves.
“The charge nurse says you asked for me.”
“I did,” he admits.  “You never told me what your favorite kind of milkshake is.”
You cock your head to the side as you look at him.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Mister Kim,” you murmur, feigning ignorance. “According to my records this is the first time I’ve ever seen you.”
“Oh, yeah.  Right,” he chuckles.
“You need some help getting undressed?”
“Yeah,” he admits, slipping one arm out of his leather jacket.  You lean in to help him pull the other side off, compelling yourself to ignore the way he smells like soap and sweat and man when you’re this close.
“It’s strawberry.”
You blurt the words out, anxious to give your brain a task that doesn’t involve analyzing this man’s smell.  Something about the mischievous twist to his mouth tells you he knows you’re flustered by his nearness.
“I would have guessed chocolate,” he muses, reaching one hand down to grab the hem of his shirt. He drags it up his abdomen and you will your eyes to stay on his face -- refusing to give him any indication that you have more than a clinical interest in what lies underneath.
“Everyone likes chocolate,” you argue, taking over when he can’t get the shirt up any higher.  You push it over his head and carefully work it off his shoulder.  “I don’t want to be like everyone else.”
“Mission accomplished, Doc.”
He gazes at you then -- chest bare and eyes sharp beneath those inky lashes --  and you feel a bolt of awareness run the length of your spine. You pray the heat you suddenly feel all over your body is not manifesting in damning spots of color on your face.
You remind yourself to get back to work.
He sucks a breath between his teeth when you press gently against the inflamed muscle and tissue.
“My shoulder’s been shit for years,” he confesses.  “I screwed it up when I was a kid and it hasn’t been the same since.”
“So this happens to you from time to time?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, then I’m going to have to refer you for an MRI,” you say, and he groans when you press into his shoulder again.  “There could be a lot of scar tissue in here, but I won’t be able to know what’s going on until we get some clear scans.”
Your eyes flick back to his.
Every word that’s ever come out of this man’s mouth is a lie -- but there’s something that feels honest about the way he’s looking at you right now.  Something that makes you feel seasick, unsteady.
“Turn to the side for me,” you say quietly, and the thin paper that lines the exam table rustles as he complies.  The relief you feel when he pivots away from you with those eyes and that look is whole-bodied.
“For now, the best I can do is probably pop -- “
Your words trail off as your eyes lock on a wound that sits just a few inches from his spine, just above the line of his jeans.  The edges are white and soft with age -- the area long-healed -- but the trauma is unmistakable.
Textbook.
The anger you feel as you stare at the wound doesn’t make any sense.
But you feel it anyway.
“Is it still inside of you, or did they pull it out?”
“What -- ”
“-- The bullet Mister Kim,” you interrupt sharply.  “If it’s still in you, I promise it will come out the second they load you into an MRI machine.  The hard way.”
The muscles of his back flex as he stiffens.  Tension bleeds into the lines of his body and into his voice when he finally speaks.
“It’s out.”
Neither of you says another word.
The room feels hollow now, painfully quiet without talk of elephants or hot air balloons or milkshakes.  The two of you work together silently to crack his abused shoulder back into place.  Somehow he manages to endure that pain without making a sound.
In the end, it’s you that has to speak first.
“That should hold you for now,” you say tightly, standing to toss your gloves in the trash.   You grab your tablet to make notes.
“You mad at me, Doc?”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” you mutter, fingers flying over your screen.  “I don’t even know you.”
“Then why does it feel like you’re mad at me?”
You tear your eyes away from the screen to find his.
There’s no teasing or humor there anymore.  He looks boyish and unsure like this, peering back at you with somber eyes from beneath long black bangs that have fallen into his face.
“No more stories, no more bullshit.  Tell me who you are.”
The words are out of your mouth before you can think better of them -- before you can consider how stupid it is to interrogate a complete stranger with a now confirmed history of violence.  Before you can consider that you have no right to the anger that now streaks white-hot through your veins.
“I can’t,” he breathes quietly.  “I’m sorry.”
You shake your head in disgust.
“Are you dangerous?”
Before he even speaks, you get your answer.  You get it in the way color erupts across the bridge of his nose and cheeks.  The way he looks away from you and down to his hands.
“I guess that depends on who you ask,” he whispers.
“I’m asking you,” you fire back.
He doesn’t answer.
You stand there for what feels like an eternity, waiting for him to say something in his defense. Waiting for him to pull another gag and tell just one more ridiculous story.  But the seconds tick by and he says nothing.
“A nurse is going to come by with a sling. She’ll help you get dressed, too,” you say tightly, walking to the door.
You don’t know why your heart feels like it seizes in your chest when you turn to give him one more look.
“Take care of yourself, Mister Kim,” you say quietly.  “And don’t come back.”

Flowers of the peace
Pairing: c!Technoblade x Fem!Nymph!Reader
Type: Romantic/fluff; oneshot.
Warnings: mild swearing, mention of angst and injury and silly jokes created by me.
Summary: Technoblade is travelling to the center of smp to get some buisness done. He met Y/n and finally decided to talk with her about a very important case for him. Including more characters.
Words in red colour are Technoblade's voices.
My first x reader fic, spontaneous one.
Today was a quite warm day even in tundra, small layer of snow was covering the ground and sky was half covered by the clouds, which weren't moving a lot. Around was very quiet despite the time, it was almost noon. Animals were resting or sleeping, deadly hound lied calmly around. It seemed, it was such a lazy day. Technoblade went outside holding small backpack and putting something into it. He tied his hair into small bun, rest of them was falling on his back and he was wearing part of casual armor. Phil seeing that, also went outside.
"Hi mate, where are you going?" He asked curiously with gentle smile.
"I'm heading to main Smp part. I have some buisness to finish with Ranboo. I hope in that time it won't be crowded." He responeded and closed backpack.
They both looked at old Ranboo's home in mountain wall. Actually there still were some basic stuff, active farm and some villagers. Enderman hybrid moved to his and Tubbo's mansion in Snowchester two weeks ago. They kinda missed him, but he promised to visit them a lot of times and even stay for some cold weather and fresh air. Also he was still involved in Syndicate stuff.
"Be careful mate then." Philza said with serious tone.
'We miss Enderboy.' 'Let's do it fast.' 'Who will we meet else?'
Technoblade nodded and took Karl. He put a small backpack near the saddle and check everything. Diamond armor was shinning brightly in the sunlight.
"I will don't worry, I just hope to not meet Tommy..." His eyes narrowed. He still didn't forget and forgive young boy.
"Well just avoid bench area. You are going to meet Ranboo in Snowchester?"
"He said that he will be around Community House or Prime path."
"Tell him my sincere greetings." Phil smile widened.
Technoblade jumped at Karl and waved to his companion. Soon he was headed to main Smp part. Today wasn't the day for using a portals. Beautiful weather was conductive for horse riding. Karl seemed to be happy at sudden trip.
}*{
After a two hours Technoblade reached the Community House. He could go to Snowchester first, but honestly he wanted to avoid that area, which smelled like government. He dismounted Karl and took his bridle. Not a chance leaving his horse alone. Here was much warm then in tundra, not coulds and even wind stopped. Around wasn't even a single soul, so he sighted and started to walking down on Prime path. Karl was complelty calm, so he trusted him, but checked his sword, if he can take it fast. When he got near to Tommy's dirt house, he heard Tommy's loud laughing. After reaching the top of the hill he spotted Bench Trio standing there and chatting. Suddenly three pair of eyes looked at him. There was dead silence. Tubbo moved near to Ranboo when Tommy put a hand on Axe of Peace, which hanged of his bolt. They don't have armour, clearly having a good time in this lazy day. Technoblade nodded to them.
"What are you doing here?" Tommy asked with sharp tone.
Since Dream have been in the prison Smp was more calm, most people was minding their buisness, the biggest war was over and it seemed like everyone sighted with relief. Even now this Eggpire cleaned awful vines. Tommy started building his hotel, none was fighting.
"I came here to finish buisness." Techno responed slowly moving his eyes on Ranboo.
Tall teenager looked at his clock, gave himself a facepalm and sighted.
"Oh I am so sorry, I wasn't watching the time..." He said with embarrassment.
"What the fuck man? What deal did you make with him?" Tommy spoke with anger.
'Why he need to be so loud?' 'Just make it done.' 'Cut him.'
Technoblade moved a little bit closer and Ranboo started to search something in his backpack, mumbled to himself.
"Oh... hi everyone...!"
On the path leading to La'Manhole now was standing Y/n with basket full of field flowers and some saplings of roses, tulips and pansies. Her light dress was waving a little on sudden wind and bright smile caused everyone to smiled back.
"Hi Y/n!" Tubbo said and get closer to look at flowers. "Where did you get them?"
"Filed flowers around the... La'Manburg and saplings are from my own flowerbends. You asked me to bring some to your garden and rooms." She responed slowly.
"Oh yes! We asked Foolish of possible ways to decorate garden and flowers for a bees!" Tubbo said with excitement.
When it comes to the bees, Tubbo could talk over and over. Y/n was patience and describe in details flowers which she brought. Meanwhile Tommy moved his eyes again on Technoblade only to rise eyebrows with surprise. Piglin hybrid was like frozen, carefuly observing Y/n. Teenager lips formed into mischief smile.
"I found it!" Ranboo screamed in victory, holding something like gold in his big hand.
Technoblade snapped back to reality and nodded to Enderboy, to move away. He didn't want rest to know, what about deal is. They moved to bench. Karl snorted a little bit.
"Here it is." Ranboo opened his hand, Totem of Undying was inside. Technoblade smiled and nodded to him with satisfied smile.
"As we agreed emeralds and netherite ingot."
They made an exchange, Technoblade quickly hid Totem in his pocket and Ranboo put stones and ingot inside his backpack.
"Pleasure making buisness with you." Blade said with teasing tone.
"You too and I have more, if you want."
" We will see in the future."
Enderman hybrid moved his eyes on his husband and Y/n, there were still chatting peacefuly. Tommy was listening quietly and seemed that he lost interesting at their deal.
'Finally!' 'Let's go home.' 'Maybe stay for a while...'
"Deal is done?" Tommy asked loudly causing Tubbo and Y/n to look at Technoblade and Ranboo.
"Yes. We are done." Piglin hybrid confirmed in neutral voice.
Ranboo moved closer to group, leaving Technoblade with Karl. They stepped again on path after that.
"I think we can head to Snowchester then. Y/n has everything to make gardening and I am willing to help her!" Tubbo clapped hands.
"Yup. I am going to choose my room finally." Tommy emphasized last word strongly.
"Oh you shloud do the same Y/n. As we promised, you can decorate it as you wish." Ranboo said with warm smile.
Y/n lifted head and her eyes meet Techno's. His cute ears dropped a little, but he moved closer to them. Tommy stepped a little to avoid crash with Karl. Soft smile appeard on Y/n lips.
"Technoblade."
"Y/n."
Bench Trio silenced immediately, they could feel the tension in the air. After La'Manburg destruction Y/n lost her home, actually she was neighbor with Ranboo there, but she managed to build one small house in wild fields full of flowers, which was quite away. The closest things were Kinoko Kingdom and Niki's Underground City. Sometimes she wandered to La'Manber ruins and after that usually hanging up with Tommy. She visited Ranboo couple of times in tundra and even had a small talk with Phil. But when Technoblade showed up... they shared awkward silence and shy glances, which were speaking instead of words.
In his retirement they spent a lot of time together, despite the cold in tundra. Her peacefuly pressence caused voices to melt, only quiet whispers appeard. When she was speaking, they were always silence. Technoblade could listen and observe her for ages. They were so diffrent, but something connected them and attraced them to each other. She was standing with Phil on balcony, holding his hand so hard and tears streaming from her beautiful eyes, when Technoblade have been lead to execution. He later told him that Y/n almost fainted when he survived and escaped. She stayed in threshold, knocking sotfly at cottage doors, same day, late night and silence around. When he opened, he immediately put a finger on her mouth and whispering explained that Tommy somehow escaped exile and was sleeping in cellar. So Y/n said nothing, when Technoblade let her in, just hugged him so tightly and burried her face in his chest. With smelling her scent, he calmed himself and slowly forget about rage and happenings on that day.
But after Doomsday everything changed. Technoblade was busy with revenge, deep inside he didn't want to involved Y/n for her safety... but they moved away from each other. She need to build new house, didn't want to completly leave her friends around. Especially when Tommy and Tubbo found in her big comfort. She visited Tommy in exile couple of times, always bringing warm words and usefull advices. After Discs Finale, when Dream have been put into a prison, they needed her a lot. Tommy would never confessed that he had nightmares about Tubbo's death and himself being trapped in cell. Technoblade was busy with forming Syndicate, spending days on planning, building and searching stuff. He heard from Ranboo how Y/n was doing, but there always weren't time to talk.
And now they were here.
'We miss her angelic voice.' 'Stop staring, do something.' 'Stab Tommy.'
"I really don't want to interrupt this strange moment, but..." He couldn't even end, because Technoblade stepped at his foot. His shoes had small heels and was shod with metal.
Y/n giggled softly breaking eye contact with Technoblade and blushed a little bit.
"Can we talk?" Blade asked with deep voice.
"Of course." She nodded then handed her basket to Tubbo. He immediately straigthed his back, because of this important task. Technoblade gave without hesitation Karl's bridle to Ranboo, which eyes expanded and he grabbed it with his full strenght. When horse would run away... oh boy.
"It looks like we got important tasks." Tubbo said with full serious in his voice.
Ranboo nodded to him, when Tommy literally rolled his eyes.
Technoblade and Y/n moved slowly and silently aside, stepping away from path and walking on grass. She faced the sun, pulling her hair together, it laid freely on her back. Some strands still stayed on her face and Technoblade had to use his all strenght to resist taking them off. He just couldn't. Her scent full of flowers reached his nose, taking deep breath felt like heaven.
"Weather is very good." He started slowly and little unsure.
Y/n turned back to him with shy smile, studing hia posture. "Oh yes, it's warmer this days. My flowers age growing fast and I really enjoy the sun." She glanced at him. " Isn't too hot for you in this cape?"
"Well, I am still living in tundra and come on, style is breathtaking "Technoblade spread a little his arms.
Y/n could easily spotted part of armor on his arms and legs. It wasn't his best one, but he was still prepared for any fight. Yes, he looked very good, handsome. She couldn't help her slighty blushing cheeks.
"Are you moving to the mansion?" Techno finally asked, his voice was dead serious.
Y/n looked directly at his eyes with surprise. She didn't expect such a question. "No, I mean they offered me room, to stay in longer visits or if I would like to have a nap. I really enjoy their company."
He made a step closer and lean down, almost forgot how small she was compared to him. They both felt burning glances of Bench Trio.
"I miss you." He whispered honestly.
'We are missing her voice, scent and pressence.' 'We need her.' "We want her.'
"I... I miss you too." She responded quietly.
Pleased smile crawled at Technoblade's lips. Deep inside he was really happy about that, but didn't want to show it in front of Bench Trio. Y/n looked down with sudden shyness.
He took gently her small, compared to his hand. She squeezed lightly his fingers in response. "Would you like to...?"
"Y/n! We need to go, hurry up!" Tubbo screamed while was holding her basket.
"Yeah come one, we have a lot of stuff to do!" Tommy agreed.
Technoblade sighted after this rude cut, but Y/n shrugged with helplessness and playful smile. She hugged him tightly for goodbye, his second hand rested on her flabby waist.
"Meet me here after sunset." She whispered before letting him go.
He nodded before he let go of her hand. Y/n waved to him and went to Trio Bench. Ranboo gave Techno Karl's bridle. He observed while group was heading to Snowchester, then he jumped at horse and started to moving into tundra's direction.
}*{
Technoblade left Karl in hurry, then almost ran into a cottage. Phil frowned observing this from his window, but then shrugged and went take care of his cases. An hour passed and he heard some suspicious sounds from Techno's home, also him swearing. He decided to see what is going on, so went outside and knocked loudly. His friend opened. "Hi Phil, I'm a little busy right now..."
"What happend mate?" Winged man asked looking inside.
"I need to clean whole area..." He sighted with awkward smile.
"But why?"
Technoblade said nothing, it was a little too early to talk about it. "You... need some help honestly?"
"I will be so greatful!" Techno said and went beck to cleaning. Actually he successfuly tided first floor and kitchen, for now put food into a chest and cups into cupboard.
"Chests in magazine too?" Phil asked looking at his friend with confusion. Technoblade made facepalm. "I completly forgot about them... she would like to have order there!" He dropped everything and went down. His companion rose eyebrows with surprise. She?
}*{
Heading second time to main Smp part was faster and full of unsure feelings for Technoblade. Karl seemed to be happy of another trip. When they again reached top of the hill, she was there. Y/n stood near bench in his old crimson cloak, hemmed by fur, watching the sunset. Slowly crimson glow was turned into grey. Horse snorted and she turned head to greet him with warm smile. Technoblade responded with lazy smile and dismount Karl. Moving slowly to her, spotted that she was holding avaraged size, lether backpack and near the bench was closed chest.
"Hi again." Blade said with smile. "I am little bit late but I hope that you wasn't waiting long."
"I actually just came here. Boys let me left mansion three hours ago." She giggled softly.
"You got your room in mansion?"
"Yes... we decorated it with Ranboo's and Tubbo's furnitures."
"So... you have in this chest more personal stuff to put there?" Technoblade asked taking deep breath.
Y/n ignored the question and smiled softly to him. "What did you want me to ask earlier?"
"Well... I think it doesn't matter now." His shoulder dropped.
She looked directly into his eyes. "It matters, because the answer is yes."
Technoblade moved closer with visible confusion. "What?"
"Yes. I am ready for a trip, I have this cloak if it happen to be very cold and even have gloves in pocket."
He studied her figure quickly, under cloak she was wearing warm, woolen dress, completly diffrent that early, light one. High boots and hair braided tightly.
"No." Technoblade looked at her in disbelief.
Y/n nodded and her smile widened. In a blink of eye piglin hybird hugged her tightly. She rested her head against his chest, feeling heat from his body.
'She is going with us.' 'We can't belive.' 'Hurry up, before someone will show up.'
"Let's go, you have to be tired." Technoblade said after a few minutes. He took her chest and pinned it to saddle, Karl stayed calmly. She pated his neck, smiling softly. Blade mounted horse and offer her his hand to help. She grabbed it strongly and sat down sideways.
"Karl can lifted us both?" She asked unsure.
"He lifted heavier things than you sweetheart, you can belive me, he will be good." Techno smiled, he always was impressed by her caring way.
Y/n hugged his waist and again rested her head against his chest. The trip was quietly, they enjoyed each other pressence, when they reached tundra, night fell and snow started slowly rain. Finally they stopped in front of Technoblade's house. Deadly hound didn't even react to new person nearbay and bears was sleeping peacefuly around. Piglin hybrid first dismounted Karl and help Y/n by grabbing her waist and put her on the ground. She nodded in gratitude and grabbed his hand. He took her chest and they reached the stairs.
"You didn't introduce me new visitor?" Phil's voice caught them near doors. Winged man stood in his threshold with crossed arms and playful smile.
"Hi Phil." Y/n said and blushed hardly.
"Tomorrow my friend. You shloud go to the sleep old man." Technoblade teased him.
"I hope you will be gentelman and offer lady a separate bed." Phil winked to them and then went inside his house. "Goodnight lovebirds."
Blade rolled his eyes and opened doors for Y/n. She went inside and looked around carefuly. Nothing changed at all, but maybe one thing...
"You... cleaned whole house." She giggled softly.
"Oh yes and I even created some spare place in cellar for your flowers." He put her chest on the ground and closed door. Their eyes met. Technoblade quickly had covered the distance between them, then cupped her face and gently pressed their lips together. Y/n breathing quickened, same as his heartbeating. After a kiss, their hands found themselfes, when Techno lean his forehead against her.
"I love you." He whispered softly.
"I love you too." She responded quietly.
'We love her.' 'We are going to take care of her.' 'Never, ever let her go again.'

Spencer Reid was getting on my very last nerve. That wasn’t a new thing though. For some reason Spencer and I had never gotten along. It seemed as soon as we met we were destined to annoy and bicker until we retired.
Our latest argument centered around a preliminary profile that we were supposed to send off to the Boston PD and as always we both disagreed on what the profile consisted of. This time Spencer had gotten deep under my skin for some reason. His constant bickering had me seething, plus his not so subtle dig at my abilities as a profiler didn’t do anything to help my mood. The whole situation was giving me a headache.
I need coffee
I opened the cabinet where the grounds and sugar were stored in the break room so I could start a cup for myself. I stopped my movements when I caught sight of a large bag of grounds and another bag full of sugar marked in big sharpie letters with Spencer’s name.
Spencer had started to bring his own bags of coffee grounds and sugar after Emily complained about him going through the bullpen’s supplies too fast.
A smirk was dancing evilly on my face at the thought of riling Spencer up by stealing the items for a short while. Every time he decided to push my buttons too far while we were working I usually found some way to get back at him for it. Even though I knew it was petty I still decided to hide his personal coffee grounds and sugar in the bottom drawer of my desk. Maybe he’d think twice next time he disrespected his coworkers.
I’ll give it back to him eventually after he apologized and after having him beg a little.
——-
Later in the day I was sitting in the small file room going through some old case files. Though, mostly I was waiting for Spencer to come down here and confront me about his stolen coffee as I had already finished my most important tasks for the day. He was a genius after all and it was an easy deduction to figure out who had stolen it, only I would dare touch his precious coffee and sugar. Not even Morgan would dare mess with it.
“Where is it.”
Ah, he’s right on time
His dark tone matched the darkness that surrounded the file room that was only illuminated by one light. However, the smirk on my face did not shake, his tone did little to intimidate me. I decided to further annoy him not wanting to give away what I had done with his precious coffee just yet.
“It’s just coffee and sugar Spencer, I’m sure Emily will let you dip into the rest of the BAU’s supplies for today. Though, maybe you should cut down, considering how aggressive you get when you miss your hourly cup.” I was still standing hunched over the files, not even sparing a glance at the genius as I gave him a snippy remark.
“That’s not the point Y/N. I’m more mad about the fact that I know you took it.” Each little quip I decided to give him was making his tone darken almost to the tone he used when interrogating suspects.
“Well maybe you shouldn’t have implied that I was an incapable agent.” I turned to face him with a feisty glare and crossed my arms before continuing, “Maybe, then I wouldn’t have taken it.”
“Maybe, you could’ve come to me like an adult and told me you were offended. Maybe- then I would’ve apologized.” My gaze was harsh in response to his remark choosing not to respond to his words. Honestly, the nerve of him sometimes. Though, what really caught me off guard was what happened next.
Instead of further verbally berating me for stealing his brew he surged forward and captured my lips in a harsh kiss. I almost pulled away angrily to slap him but, I found my anger morphing into something new. I kissed him back with fervor not giving him the full satisfaction of completely dominating the kiss. Though all sense of control I held was lost when he roughly slammed me into the filing cabinets making a surprised squeak fall from my lips, allowing him to slip his tongue into my mouth.
I yanked aggressively on his hair as a warning in response to when he dipped his head down attempting to suck hickies and bite marks into my neck. He grunted in agitation, pulling his head up to glare at me in retaliation to the harsh tug on his curls.
The glare on his face held as he yanked my skirt up harshly and pulled my panties down roughly until they fell down my ankles.
He wound his hand around my neck, not very tight at all only having it rest there as a simple warning to obey and take whatever he gave me. I almost found myself fighting his dominance once more before all thoughts of disobedience were wiped from my mind as soon as he moved one finger experimentally to my core. I was already obscenely wet just from a few minutes of a heated make out. Arousal further coated Spencer’s fingers as he started to circle my hole teasingly, my legs started to shake a little from the teasing almost unable to take it.
I bit into my lip hard to stifle any noise my body wanted to make when he finally curled his fingers inside me and obliged me. A small moan escaped despite my best attempts when he brought his thumb up to my clit working in tandem with his other fingers. I had to bite my lip even harder to quiet myself when the hand on my neck tightened, silently warning me to shut up. The only reason I obliged his order was because I’d rather not have gotten caught by my other coworkers being fingered by the person I claimed to hate.
I could feel myself teetering on the edge of release before it was cruelly swiped away from me when he removed his fingers from my core. I whined in objection though the noise was covered by a harsh command by Spencer.
“Jump.” His tone left no room for argument to his order, making any protests I had die in my throat. Normally, I’d argue with any order that Spencer thought he could give me but, the slick arousal that pooled between my legs fought with the resentment that I held for him. So, for once I obeyed willingly, jumping to wrap my legs around his wiry frame. I was half expecting him to drop me, I had never considered Spencer to be very strong at all. But, he proved my thoughts wrong by holding tightly onto me with bruising force, pulling out his cock from his slacks with speed and precision before swiftly entering me with no warning.
A whimper at the sudden stretch started to come from me though, it was quickly stifled by his large palm coming down over my mouth stifling any noise that tried to make its way from me. Once he was sure I was going to be able to handle my noise level he removed his hand from my mouth placing it back onto my ass. He then started to rock into me, though his thrusts weren’t fast at first as I had assumed. His thrusts were deep but devastatingly slow.
“I hate you.” I tried to growl out with conviction to goad Spencer to start to pick up his pace. He took the bait, starting to thrust rapidly pushing me closer towards release. However, the growl I had adopted dissolved into a mere pathetic whimper making my whole body burn in embarrassment at his ability to work me up so quickly. My hands pulled at his button up to try and ground myself to stave off my release- I was going to try my hardest to not cum first.
“Sure you do Sugar.” He said breathlessly while letting go of one of my thighs to make his way back to my clit. The little circles he started to rub along with his now brutal pace made angry all over again, I was trying so hard to not release first. And, it didn’t help that he tacked on the stupid nickname at the end, no doubt trying to stoke the fire in my belly that was a infuriating mix of arousal and anger.
Though I tried with all the strength I could muster to hold off a devastating orgasm as soon as Spencer pitched his hips to hit my sweet spot my release crashed over me. I screwed my eyes shut and bit into my fist hard in an attempt to stifle any moans that tried to escape me as my release came through my body in crashing waves. My cheeks were burning hot in humiliation from my disastrous defeat.
“W-where?” Spencer almost incoherently stuttered out to me as a warning that he was getting close to his own release.
“Inside. Safe.”  I was honestly surprised I even formed a literate thought to convey to him as I came down from my devastating high. He pumped into me a few more times before falling into his own release, biting into the sliver of skin he could find beneath my disheveled blouse to quiet his own noises.
Once we had both come down completely and caught our breaths awkward silence and tension simmered in the file room. We both made no moves to break the tension as we tried to make ourselves look somewhat presentable. After I pulled my panties up and my skirt back down to its original position I decided to give Spencer back the thing he had been looking for. Leaning forward I took his tie in my hand and pulled him back towards me so we were chest to chest once more.
“Go look in the bottom drawer of my desk.” I whispered into his ear before sauntering out of the room to find a bathroom to clean up some more though, not before sparing a glance back to see a smirk etched on Spencer’s face. Even though I still hated him (Maybe hate is a strong word) I figured why not give him his coffee and sugar back as a reward for giving me one of the best orgasms of my life. Though, I was definitely still mad at myself for orgasming first. Maybe if there was a next time the roles would be reversed.
